KotOR 1 issues.

Post by RogueKnight »

I recently went to uninstall and reinstall KOTOR, only to find out that my disk was damaged upon reinstalling. A system rollback also seemed to be corrupt, as it only brought back half the necessary files for running KOTOR.

I have it installed on my laptop, now my only question would be, if I were to transfer all the files off of the laptop to the desktop....

- Would it work?

- Would I need to transfer any folders besides the ones in program files and compatibility files?

Any answers would be immensely appreciated.

Yes, it probably would work assuming it's the same game on both computers. It should work fine if you use shared folders and stuff like that.

It may or may not work, depending on if the registry entries of the corrupted game are also corrupted or not.
Some games don't install registry keys, others do, so you may be in luck, or you may be out of luck. I suppose it's worth a try, though.
