I had 5 emails on this....

3. The Modtool.exe (SPtest) doesnt work with most (if not all) DVD versions of the game.
I've noticed that a lot of people have been saying this too, however I do have the DVD version and everything works perfectly (and did first time). Maybe we can look at possible system/OS differences that might effect this, this might help Pandemic narrow down what the exact problem is. I can't imagine why some DVD versions would work and others not.
I am well aware of this I rsearched the forum and found this supposed fix
I am not using the DVD version I am using the US/English 4 CD version.
My operating system is Windows 2000 SP4 all updates ran. Even set my file system as NTFS.
System specs:
OS- Windows 2000 SP4
Video- ATI Radeon X1300 128 mb DDR Ram
RAM- 1 gb PC2700 (Kensington)
This isn't really a bug, just a heads-up. When you load an object but don't see a "loading collision" screen for even a split-second, do NOT place the object or ZoneEditor will crash.
My specs, the SPtest does not work on my DVD version:
Intel P4 2.6ghz
Windows XP Home
Kingston 512MB DDR RAM (getting 1GB pretty soon)
ATI Radeon 9550 256MB AGP 8x
working hard on patches etc... remember we were fussing so much about the need for tools and when are they arriving etc... when they turned up they were pretty good and certainly well documented. psych0fred had several updates for zeroeditor, I'm sure they'll work on some for this version, they're probably working on a 1.2 SWBF2 patch... I don't think we've been abandoned.
