I have just done it easily (well, fairly easily) with the Coruscant map. (however, this process will make a new map identical to the old one - you can't edit the maps as they are in the base game). Create a new world, calling it something similar to (but not the same as) the existing map. Munge it, and then open up the assets folder. Let's say, for example, that you're duplicating Kashyyyk. Copy EVERYTHING from the KAS folder into your new world's folder. Then, open up zeroedit, then open the KAS file from within that folder. I would recommend that you click "build accurate object collision, even though it takes ages for most base maps to load this way. When it's done loading, click on "configure" under gamemodes. Then hit "update world REQ and mode MRQs." Select the name of your NEW world, and hit open. If nothing goes wrong, and you are returned to the configure gamemodes screen immidiately, you're in good shape. Then close out of that window, and hit save in the upper - left corner of the screen, and save the map as your NEW three - lettered map (this would NOT be KAS, but rather KS2, or whatever you named it). Say yes, you would like to replace the file, and let it save. Now you have an almost identical duplication of the map, the gamemodes, the paths, the planning, barriers, and everything! Better yet, you can edit them and change them however you want! Scripts and such are a little more complicated, as you will have to paste over each one from the old map, then change it manually to whatever fits the map. Hope this is what you want.
