"Load" munging discussion
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the "load" section of each map's files contains information on loading screens. I've done a little research, and it looks like if we can figure out how to set up the folders and reqs correctly, we can do loading screns per-map!
Anyone else looked at it?

NO! But thank you... I was wondering how to do this... I think you may have stumbled upon something here!
RE: "Load" munging discussion
I've been scanning folders for it for the ARC project and have not found anythign so I was at your conclusion as well: making new files is necessary. I'll continue to look at the files and experiment, but if anyone finds anythign post here.

I saved a screenshot as a .tga, threw it into the load folder an munged... I crossed my fingers and loaded up my map, but the BF2 logo splashscreen still came up instead... Well, it was worth a try...

We'll keep trying. I'm sure it can be done.

Yeah, I PMed PAN-Fnord. He's going to get the Load source files uploaded so we can take a look at them.
RE: "Load" munging discussion
Right on... This is pretty much the last thing I need to figure out to get my map working 100%...
RE: "Load" munging discussion
Would be a nice addition to mine as well, nice discovery there.

Well, with the way the loading screen system works it won't be something you can just add to your map. You have to actually replace some files. So what we'll probably do it release an update every two months or so that has all of the loading screens we have recieved. Past that I don't know, since I haven't been given the files yet.

RE: "Load" munging discussion
what about loading screens in the Costum Maps?
would they use the one "in-game?" or will they possibly be able to use a/some screens you've made especially for that map?

RE: "Load" munging discussion
I don't quite understand your post Teancum. Will we have to replace something in the SWBF2 files instead of something idividual to each map? I don't undertsand how that works. There are several Load folders in each data_MODID folder and none of them have any purpose?
RE: "Load" munging discussion
Any news on those source files?

RE: "Load" munging discussion
nope... they're probably trying to find a way to make them work for us.
RE: "Load" munging discussion
OK, cool. I wasn't making any headway experimenting with those folders, lol.
