how do i download mod maps?

how do i download mod maps? i download and i click on the map in the addon folder and it does nothing.

1st of all... please attempt to get the subject correct - if I understand correctly, your problem is not downloading but using them.

Check list:
1. Battlefront II installed
2. SWBF2 map downloaded (not a BF1 map)
3. you have the following directory (by default) - C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\Addon
4. Unzip the downloaded file into the Addon folder
5. Start BF2 and go to instant action and the map should be in the list

let me know how it goes coz I tried 2 maps and neither work properly 4 some reason - I get a black screen, no map, classes that when you click on don't spawn

k thanks what program should i use to unzip?

by standard windows xp unzips normal .zip folders but if the map is stored in .rar u need to dl the free RAR archiver program and install it or if it is 7z then dl the free 7z program

Make sure you open them far enough ie: the 3 letter name like Rends Coruscant City should read CO1 or yavin arena YVN these should be in your addon folder.Also you need the 1.1 patch!!!
