Citadel Beta 0.95 April 17th 2006 Update

New maps and mods are coming out quickly. If you release something (even a beta) please post it here. Be sure to give details in the topic such as Map/Mod name and version

Me and my clan played this for a few hours and it seems spot on. Only bugs we saw are the ones that are posted and the fact that falling off doesn't kill you. Darkness was walking around at the bottom of the mountain for a while.

Diet Dr. Pepper download limit as been reached for this file....."savefile" is better for larger files.. Well hope we get a final version asap as i liked citadel as it is a good team playing map.Keep it as near to the origanal as poss.

Thnxs Mr pinxs for been the 1st to give us Citadel for SWBF II.I think there will be alot of the old maps turning up with indivduals own choices of improvement.SWBF I is a good shoot em up so if it ain't broken don't fix it.

Hope this makes it way into CW on ER as a CW map

TAW', I have to admit you've worked rather efficiently on the conversion of this Star Wars Battlefront level... :wink:
Also, you've mentioned a thread posted on "LucasArts message-boards" ; Would you mind giving us an address pointing to it ? :|

Map was sweet, glad to be playing it again ;)

The one thing i noticed is that there were no turrets though.

could just be me, i didnt play it onine at all (i kinda just play random servers. play offline as well, but mostly online), anyways, i noticed that for whatever reason, when playing as Han, if you swap primary weapon out for the fusion cutter, it wont let you change back to the DL44. you get stuck with the fusion cutter.

no probs switching secondary weapons tho, was kinda fun running around trying to repair the empire tho =D

i encountered that problem as well. it was kinda amusing tho, using only detpacks, getting right up in the stormies face and setting them off (ff was off). i actually did better with han with no blaster than with fett :P

Fixed:
- Mini Map
- Holes in the wall near outside the tomb
- Death regions
- In-game map name

Working on:
- Lighting inside the hallways (making progress)
- Will look into the Han Solo weapon problem
- Addition of turrets

Soon, I will release the official v1.0

Please post if you'd like to see different heroes (not sure if I can get Ventress and Fisto) but if you think there's heroes more appropriate, I will try to consider the ones that are most suited to the map and timeframe.

Lev - Thanks for posting the link there and I apologize for the d/l limit, uploading was pretty rushed initially. :(

BTW, TAW is working on making the map files self extracting to avoid issues that certain users are experiencing.

Are we looking at the four standard gametypes as well? (If you need help, I'm pretty far along with both CTF modes, and Hero Assault is easy) Also, if you want I can add XL mode when you're done, which is basically just a standard team deathmatch. Standard units--but you can earn a hero. Not sure if a hunt mode would be 'proper' for this, as we don't have any Rhen Var-only species to hunt.

Anyways, keep me posted, and let's talk when you're working on new gametypes, because my personal feeling is that we should pack in as many as we can. If you don't want to add them, you can just give me your data_RHN folder when you're done and I will.

pinx', the problem caused by Han Solo's BlasTech DL-44 Pistol really intrigues me, since I don't think you had to modify "all.lvl" in order to make this level working in Star Wars Battlefront II... Also, might I know whether you've tried to call other Heroes, instead ?

I think that XL mode on this map is not the best idea. But Hero Assault would be awesome!

Here are some suggestions what I would change/add:
- Heroes in GCW: Luke (or Cheewie?) instead of Han
- Heroes in CW: Count Dooku instead of Darth Maul (would be quite exotic and after all Dooku is a very rare hero)
- GCW: Plz give the imperial troops and the rebels their snow clothings! I guess it would look much more authentic.

Heroes - PilotLuke and Vader definitely fit...let me know if you think otherwise. The only other would be Jango and Obi Wan, but that's too Kamino, I think. Changed to Yoda and Grievous, but Yoda and Dooku would be better, I think.
Snow clothes, good call. I will work on that...
Only REAL issue left before 1.0 release is the Death Region (I have a region, but possibly I need to edit an LUA file somewhere to get it to register?

XL would not be hard to add if we ever want to, and we can set it up to stay on the right side of the map, like (IMO) Hero Assault should be. XL works well on any map. After all, it's just Conquest, minus the ability to take control points.

i think you habe to add more light inside...because i saw if i was nere a fire or the cp my trooper become the a few the normal color.
