Greetings all!
Wondering if anyone can help me out with placing objects.
I began with the getting started docs to create the basic map just to get a feel for the tools. Following the docs, I opened my map in zeroeditor. I was able to see the CP's, paths, etc. everything. But when I tried to add an object...my selection does not "place". I have read to the detail the zeroedit docs and still nothing.
Basically I copied the odf folder and msh folder, selected the object as per ZE docs, clicked "place." When I move my mouse over the map, the pointer remains an arrow. When I click on the map, nothing appears.
Tried again and noticed that a reference appears in the object browser at the bottom of the screen.
Also reviewed the old BF1 tutorial and still no luck.
The answer is probably obvious but I've never modded before. Thanks for the help!

where did you copy the msh and odfs.
RE: In need of assistance: Placing Objects
Put them here:
C:\BF2_ModTools\data_ABF\Worlds\ABF...
(ABF- is the 3 letter prefix I assigned to my trial)
Followed the same pattern as the shipped worlds (i.e. YAV, KAS, etc.)

RE: In need of assistance: Placing Objects
what objects are you trying to place. some dont work.
RE: In need of assistance: Placing Objects
Tried a few different ones from walls to arches to health/ammo droids.
RE: In need of assistance: Placing Objects
droids are called healthrecharge and are found in the common/odf folder
some objects dont work
some objects dont work
RE: In need of assistance: Placing Objects
Try Loading the MSH, of a object to see if that works. if for some resone my odfs don't work i load the msh and they come ingame fine with textures.
RE: In need of assistance: Placing Objects
@Bandu: yeah I got that. I was using various objects in my attempts to hopefully rule out that I had in fact tried a non-working object.
@Boba: I'll give that try too.
Thanks guys for suggestions!!
