Just starting out.
I'm new here and i have no previous modding experience, and i'm looking to start making maps and various other things. Is there anyone out there that could teach me/direct me to a good tutorial?
Thank you in advance.

Welcome to GT.
Currently we are waiting for the modding tools to come out. With that you will be able to make maps, units and hopefully more.
The only possible modding is hex editing (hexadecimal editing). Basically you can add existing units to maps where they are not playable. You need a hex editor for this but if you are completely new to modding, I wouldn't recommend hex editing.
The modding tools should be out within a month or so.

Aramyl, I'm in the same situation you are.
Awhile ago I posted a topic very similar to yours and got a lot of replies. You could look at it for some answers.

Hi Aramyl!
Of course you can't make new units and maps and things like that, wihtout the mod tools. But you can make funny things, still!
If you wan't to start from the beginning, look at my guide to Hex Editing.
Here is the link
Maybe it is to hard, maybe not.
I am not a super-modder like Leviathan, but I think it's pretty easy to do when you know, how to do. Good luck!:P

RE: Hi Aramyl!
Off-topic : I'm not a "super-modder", drezs'...
However, I'd like to thank you for having created such a tutorial, which might help hex-editing to become a bit more "popular"...

To Aramyl!
Hi Again.
You ask for the jedis, and they are named jed.lvl - Sorry for that.
Every side (like jed.lvl, cis.lvl all.lvl and so) are named with .lvl in the bottom! Hope you understand more now!! And please make a comment on filefront, on what you think about it!
