So, I was poking around my external hard drive the other day, and I found this!

SPACE FARASH

Space Farash takes place above the planet of my other (bad) map, Farash: Mountain Temple. This rocky, mountainous planet serves as the backdrop for an exciting space battle!

Now, it's been some time since I developed this map, so I'm writing this overview from memory. What I do remember is that I wanted to make a map similar to the stock space battles - but with a few tweaks to make it exciting. The map features a new critical system in each ship - a Jamming Device that shuts down the enemy's heavy ship turrets. Of course, the heavy ship turrets have been modified to play a more important tactical role: they now target enemy ships, especially transports, and are more effective at taking out shields. The Jamming Device is located near the Auto-Defense Mainframe, and takes 2 timebombs to destroy (same health as Mainframe). Auto-turrets have had some small changes as well.

I also set out to correct one of my main qualms with default Space Assault gameplay: it's way too easy to fly into the enemy hangar and win the game with a couple of timebombs. To stop this, the ships now have defensive turrets installed in the hangar. These turrets pack a punch, but a quick player can slip past them and make it into the ship - or destroy them with timebombs. The turrets will nail a ship, but a droid or clone can stand in between the barrels and advance. When I first rediscovered this map and remembered the turrets, I was worried about them being too difficult. However, I played it a couple of times, and, if anything, they aren't powerful enough. The only problem seems to be that the turrets can hit the player more easily if he happens to be near a wall.

Anyway, I hope you will enjoy Space Farash. It's similar to the stock space battles, but has a new layout and some interesting gameplay tweaks!

Thank you for downloading Space Farash.  Before playing, it is advised to read this file. 
 (View in a line-wrapping editor for ease of use)

1) Installation
Place the folder S1L into your Battlefront II addon folder (.../GameData/addon/), and you should be good to go.  Please note:  There may be a nested folder.

2) Gameplay
Space Farash has a few elements not present in the stock space maps.  There is a new critical system, the Jamming Device.  You may notice that at the beginning of the round, your heavy ship turrets are not active!  This is caused by the enemy team's Jamming Device.  To restore your heavy ship turrets, you will need to fly into the enemy hangar and destroy the jamming device.  The heavy ship turret has been given some upgrades as well.
    It won't be easy to board the enemy ship, however, as there are now defensive turrets placed in the hangars.  Although these turrets can quickly punch holes through a ship, their bad aim could allow a nimble pilot to dash to a safe area.  Try hiding in the inner area of the ship, behind cover, or near the base of the turrets.  A few time bombs should take care of the turrets... unless the enemy team repairs them!

Seems cool but once I put it in addon it's not showing up in my instant action !! UGHHH

You did extract it, right? Does the file .../GameData/addon/S1L/addme.script exist? If not, you pasted it incorrectly.

Just played this, and I'm pretty impressed. This is what space maps should be like.
