Have you guys seen the videos? At first I was a bit skeptical of the idea of giving every class a lightsaber and jetpacks, but after seeing it in action, it looks like it could be a lot of fun!

Re: STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT III ANNOUNCED!!!
Funny story.
Betagames.org actually found some things in the Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City files that I think you'd all like to see. It's been confirmed canceled but Slant Six apparently was making it at some point, like some had thought.
I'm getting pranked in all the wrong ways today. First Toonami actually comes back, and now I learn that BF3 was actually being made not once, but TWICE!

Yeah, they're real screens.
However, I'm not sure if I would want a game made by a company that leaves that many assets from a completely unrelated game in their newest one.

I knew what I was doing. Clearly, it's an April Fool's Joke. Everyone knew that before coming to the page. And I didn't want to link to tinyurl or URL Shorteners are disallowed on Gametoast. Use direct links only. cuz those can be dangerous sometimes and I wanted to be obvious that it was a playful joke.ggctuk wrote:You might wanna mask that url next timeTwilight_Warrior wrote:OMG OMG TOO EXCITED TO TALK. Believe it or not, I actually did think that Star Wars Battlefront 3 was announced. No one had played any jokes on me that day so I wasn't expecting any.

On the Slant Six/Resident Evil thing: I don't see any hard evidence this was a Battlefront game, just that it was a Star Wars one.

/\ This. It seems like those would be fairly easy to get rid of, this is kinda like finding assets for Full Spectrum Warrior in Star Wars Battlefront.Fusion wrote:I'm not sure if I would want a game made by a company that leaves that many assets from a completely unrelated game in their newest one.

Pre-alpha in all caps. Haha. That was kind of painful to watch, but I would have liked to see it flourished in FR's vision.

The best part was the rebel rolling in and out of existence in the first couple of seconds.

Re: BATTLEFRONT III RELEASED or: Resident Evil: Battlefront
Can Luke's lightsaber even do damage? Someone needs to work on their COMBO files.
Yeah as far as I can tell Free Radical was somewhat done with SWBF3, then I don't know someone farted or watched the ending of the Sopranos, then the company died along with the technology for Ground-To-Space. Then what was left was given to Rebellion, which they in turn changed the load screens from Star Wars Battlefront III to Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron and then they released the PSP and DS versions.
I find it ironic that if SWBF3 were to be released, it's story would have sucked just as bad as the first two games. Luckily we don't buy these games for their epic storytelling. Looks like the Lightsaber combat sucks as always, good wouldn't want to lose the classic feel of the series now would we?
What a shame. At this point if SWBF3 were made I think it'd just be another Duke Nukem Forever. Our expectations are so high now.
