Not sure where you got that impression, would like to know. The following was taken from the actual ebay description:No, that's not the case for this Venator-class Star Destroyer... It has been delivered in retail parts to its owner

Model took over 450 hours to design and build
You will need about 4 people to unpack it and mount on the display stand
All this I would feel would tend to suggest that not only is the ship already built, after all you wouldn't need 4 people to unpack some bricks, you could do that yourself. Plus I'm guessing that the construction instructions would be the size of a phone book! Anyway, still a nice model.while the model has been refurbished it does still show some minor wear from its convention tour this past summer.
