Okay, go to Game directory/GameData folder and on the bar above there must be Compatibility Files.
Hit this and you should come to an other Addon folder where your mod maps should be located.

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch (r129 - New Installer)
Thanks. I needed something that would work with Win7 and running menu.bat was too strange for many people.
Thanks for that video bug report too.
As you guys may or may not know, I'm working on v1.4. It's less than 50% done, so no WIP yet (though I'm not 100% sure I'll even finish it. I can't give a time frame on it). I had to mostly start over from scratch as I lost the source to v1.3. A couple of people had a few v1.3 sources (such as all the FC commands), so thanks to them I didn't have to start from 0% (Really, I wouldn't be working on this if it started at 0%).
I finally came up with a realistic idea (haven't tested it yet) on how to improve the game mode and era check-boxes. Instead of trying to show all the check-boxes, they would be restored to their original sizes (v1.3 shrank them). Now when the mouse hovers over an era or game mode check-box, the player could press [Up] or [Down] on the keyboard to scroll though that type of check-boxes. There won't be a scroll bar, as swbf2 check-boxes can't be easily put into true lists, so the mouse can't be used to scroll though them. Sounds like a usable solution? I'm not sure how to visibly show to the player that they can Up/Down though the check-boxes...
If you want your map to get a jump on v1.4, I just added support for displaying an era's description (just like the game mode descriptions). Use an about change in the addme just as if you were changing a game mode description.

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch (r129 - New Installer)
Help me in this way, please...
May I, somehow, using the full version of 1.3 patch (117 full + 129 update), put original weapons of units back (I mean those standard v.1.1 weapon graphics, because new weapon models are not always properly visualised on my videocard, and also I dont like them)? If no then, please, make one more option in the install menu to "Remove weapon changes". I know that there already is an option to "Remove the side changes", but doing so, the bugs with some CIS unit chunx are back.

I'm pretty sure you can choose that when you install it.

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch (r129 - New Installer)
I can't break apart the weapon and side changes. Both are part of v1.2 which was included in v1.3 just to make things easier to install. I didn't make v1.2.
If you're talking about the weapon effects as in explosions and such, then I think you're out of luck. However, if you mean the weapon icons floating in the middle of the screen, removing the HUD changes should fix that.
Maybe some other side mod fixes the CIS issue? Anyone know?
v1.4 update: Slowly coming along. I'm around 70% done remaking v1.3 and have scrolling eras/game modes working. Adding in custom user scripts is harder for the player, but multiple custom scripts actually work now. I added a framework which gives every button a shortcut key, but I don't like how it turned out. I might remove it.

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch (r129 - New Installer)
Frankly speaking I havent found the other mod that fixes bugs with CIS unit chunx, so the 1.3 mod was the only mod to do this... Moreover, besides of mentionned bugs, 1.3 patch also fixes other various game bugs, so using this mod is necessity, but it also adds new weapon models and effects which are not so good for me and for my old ATI Radeon (on some maps these new weapons loose textures and look like gloomy sticks...)
So, is it unreal to return the original unit weapons back using 1.3 patch?

Having a shortcut key would be very useful. A little question, would it be possible to make vehicle chunks stay on the battlefield, or is the dissapearing too embeded into the game.

@zerted
if you want to make the next version, dont forget to fix the clone commander skin bug, like his hands are purple in fps view, and if we see him at far distances, his skin will switch from purple ( galactic marine ) and normal very fast, thanks

The unofficial 1.2 sides were no longer included with the unofficial 1.3 patch revision 129+, so it is highly unlikely for Zerted to make that change.

I have no idea if this has already been stated, so correct me if it has.
In the menu.bat of the 1.3 patch, I noticed that you could remove award effects. Sweet! But it turns out it doesn't work for campaign or galactic conquest. Bummer. Is this going to be changed in the 1.4 patch?
