Ello mentlegen, it seems that at this time I have another problem for you to tackle. A few weeks ago we had an error with a screen display issue and my dad fixed it temporarily by uninstalling the graphics card. It seemed to work but that's because I haven't played any video games until yesterday. He tried plugging back in the graphics card but now it seems as though it is completely dead. The problem is that (when the card's plugged in) now the screen goes into POWER SAVING MODE and we can never get out of it. It works fine if we don't have the card in but then it works terrible for playing games. To put it frankly, it seems as though my computer cannot detect it at all.
Now all I want to know is how do I know if my graphics card is truly dead? Where/how would I go about doing this? Btw, it's a NVIDIA GEForce 8800 GTS.

Re: Graphics Card Issue
Try updating the driver then plug it back in. If it still doesnt work, the card is dead or something is wrong with the motherboard.

Re: Graphics Card Issue
Thanks, we tried that and still didn't work. I think we're gonna just end up buying a new one.

Re: Graphics Card Issue
From my experience, you have a bad card.
