So I might try to reinstall SWBF2 and restart my modding project. My only concern is that my laptop's graphics card might not be able to handle it. The memory and processing power is well above the minimum requirement but I don't really know about the graphics card. I've been to sites that tell you if your computer is capable of running a program but they don't seem to have any information pertinent to my laptop.
Does anyone have any knowledge or understanding of laptops' graphical capabilities as far as running swbf2 goes? My computer is an HP Pavilion dv6000 if that helps. Thanks in advance!

Re: Returning to SWBF2
SWBF2 has really low specs. It works on my 8 year old pc with 512mb ram and 128mb graphics card at normal speed
I think you're probably fine ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: Returning to SWBF2
Ok thanks guys! I'll check to make sure that my graphics card has at least 128MB!
This might not be the right place to ask this but does anyone know if there are any problems involving ZE or VisualMunge on 64 bit computers?

Re: Returning to SWBF2
it would be the right if you have the problem
but i don't know because i don't use a 64 bit nut i don't think because (you have win7 right?) the win 7 pc have all a kompatibilitäts Modus and with this it will work, i think

Re: Returning to SWBF2
The minimum recommended is 64 MB, not 128 MB. You really probably shouldn't worry about meeting the minimum requirements for this game, even with a laptop. Besides, I have been playing the game on a computer that apparently can't play it for years:trainmaster611 wrote:Ok thanks guys! I'll check to make sure that my graphics card has at least 128MB!![]()

If you're really that concerned, Steam's updated minimum requirements for a complete install of BFII are...
Although the multiplayer one is false, you can really just click on Multiplayer, then straight to Join without logging into Gamespy at all.
The game's from 2005, so if your laptop is less than 5 years old, I don't think you'll have a problem.
As for 64-bit issues with ZE, we've got an entire topic dedicated to finding a solution if it doesn't work. It seems that sometimes ZE will work without a hitch, and sometimes it won't and needs a specific fix out of the many that have been found...
Code: Select all
