This is possibly the most obnoxious virus I've ever seen. If you ever see a url or link that has on.nimp.org in it, bad stuff goes down:
Hidden/Spoiler:
It opens up several moving windows of disturbing images such as the goa tse, and your speakers start blaring "HEY EVERYBODY! I'M LOOKING AT GAY PORNO!" Not to mention it also contains nasty spyware.

Its not a virus, just an annoying Java script that hijacks your browser to do that. It's meant as a trolling site, think more advanced RickRolling.

EDIT: the original nimp. org would just bounce your browser around and play a RickRoll vid. Attempting to shut it down would make the lyrics popup in warning boxes. Its actually quite funny and inventive. The one you describe though does sound horrible.
