Medieval 2: Total War Camera Bug (Solved)

Post by Valthero »

Okay, so call me an idiot, but I keep accidentally centering the camera on a friendly unit and for the life of me I can't figure out how to stop it. When it centers, it follows the unit's movement, and I can't move the camera very far away from it. I checked the hotkey list, and Free Look, Shift+Insert, doesn't help at all. Anybody have any advice? I bought this game recently and really want to play a skirmish..

Okay thanks, I'll see if it works :D

EDIT: Nope, didn't work. I figured out that it only happens when I double-click on a unit's portrait...maybe that little tidbit could help?

Pause the game and go to Game Options I think. Change the camera from Total War to RTS or vice versa. I haven't done it in awhile, but if you play with those options you may be able to fix it.
