View Active topics not working

when i click "View Active Topics" it goes to search results and shows: "No suitable matches were found." then when i search all time, it only shows the site rules global announcement, it did this on both my family's computers, so i know it's not the computer

I get more in the search, but if you click 1 year in the "View Active Topics" drop down, if gives the site rules.. I dont know why it like this, maybe (if upgraded) its phpBB 3.0.7's bug.

just updated all phpbb3 code it could be related.

I think if its phpBB's problem, it should be fixed in 3.0.8. If they dont make a 3.0.7 update.

Hey guru, PM emails from you are back, haven't seen one of those in a long time. It's refreshing actually. Didn't know if you knew, so I figured I'd give you a heads up, I remember you didn't want to have 'em anymore due to fake addresses.

Anyways, It doesn't work for me either. Hopefully an update or something'll fix it, as said above.

i set it up so i wont get those emails anymore, but yes i did set the forums up so email works once more, by doing this spammers we have been getting have to use their ip and actually login and verify their email to login and i can ban their isps forever making the possiblity of topics that say ignore this text it contains words from our spam filter ROXX, and such...they will be gone now or banned shortly thereafter. the issue in the past was people watching topics and subscribing to topics and not having working emails, if i get those bounces now the server will simply erase their account instantly. no stress for me

i would update my emails or if you know anyone who hasnt i wont even get a message anymore , the server will just get the bounce and add the person to a firewall. as for phpbb3 issues i just was recommended to update from 3.05 to 3.07l as there were issues in a recent package, its the most current if you spot new phpbb3 packages let me know will update and hope it can repair the active topics issues.

any bugs spotted in the new updates in forums please post here will check back.

If its the same admin pannel as the one included in the phpBB package, it will tell you when there is an update.

I have been messing with phpBB on my localhost server so i can figue out how it works (:

after years of crap from all the sites i host i have learned to turn off any and all emails from forums or scripts. Even if the server explodes I dont want these forums emailing me about it.

it looks like things are working fine now so ill just keep watching thisfor any new issues.

The global rules announcement is still the only thing that shows up in the "view active topics" functions window. Normal search seems to be working fine though.

I'm not sure if this was fixed yet (I just booted up my PC) but last night voting in polls wasn't working.

Just tried view active, didnt work still. Browsing on iPod, Safari if that means anything.

I found this at phpBB.com's forums: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=2011865 it dosnt have this bug in it, but you can fill a bug report.

It happens, most the time phpbb staff can look through every feature, it would take months.

i used the fix from phpbb3 site , i dont personally use that function so i hadnt spotted it. the moment there is an update to repair this ill update the forums
