Buffer Overrun Detected in Call of Duty 1

Post by Ipodzanyman »

I've recently found this error when trying to start COD (sp and mp), and I tried reinstalling video drivers, the game, and the operating system.
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
Specs-
Processor:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Memory:
4096MB RAM
Hard Drive:
160 GB+ 1 TB
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 running 191.07 video driver
Sound Card:
SB Live! 24-bit
Operating System:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Motherboard:
EVGA 780i SLI

I was curious if anyone else has had this problem with the Steam version. I'd appreciate any advice...

You said you reinstalled Windows; Did you try running this game before you updated your graphics drivers? Maybe try rolling them back?

I tried it with both the latest driver and the last driver I used when able to play cod. Last time cod worked was on a vista installation...

Well................... its not a W7 problem, because i started getting this error after i got a new GPU (well, its a Geforce 8400 GS but i wanted a cheap fix) and updated to the same driver Ipod has (for Vista 32-bit), and its not the Steam version, its the CD one. I have no idea whats wrong, other than the fact the we're getting the same error with the same game with the same video driver..................

Did you try previous drivers? None seem to fix my problem >_<
