Mos Eisley Spaceport beta3

Post by Rends »

hi guys,
here are a few screenshots of the beta2 version i want to release later the day:
Image
I just added the "drivable" Dewback i found in the DL section here.

Image
And the Slave1 even if it´s not finished.

Image
ATST as prop only

Image
Old speeder in Garage

Image
Transport in Spaceport

To those who don´t know me or the map i worked on now for 3 years lol more information can be found here:
http://freenet-homepage.de/Santarossa/r ... seite.html

I released the beta one version long time ago and it bothered me that i never finished the map. So this is another start to do it.
Well things have changed and improved much in the meantime and my ZE and XSI memories are somewhat rusty now and lots of new faces here one the board so i thought i release the new beta and hope for feedback and ideas.
If you have the first beta already please delete the MOS folder from the addons directory before you install the new version!

UPDATE: Beta3 test ended

Awesome, I loved the first version of this map.

Oh, but in that screenshot of the Slave I, I see a Death Star box group that's raised up too high. You can see the "reflection" portion of it (the blue boxes underneath), which should be buried in the ground.

Hey, nice to see you drop by! :) Yeah, you were mostly before my time, but I still remember you.

I've never downloaded the original version of this, but I've seen screenshots and it all looked very nice.

I've still got the beta in my addon. Definitely one of the best custom maps I've played. The Slave1 looks great.

Classic Rends. I love your maps! I'm still looking forward to the revamp Coruscant: City.

Like Eggman, I've never played the original Mos Eisley Spaceport. These two new screenshots alone say that I'm missing out on some good stuff.

Are you using the model converted from JKA? (I.e. Is it the same as the one seen here?:

If it is, "Manquesa" made the original texture.

Glad to see you taking up work on this again - it's a super map!

Mos Eisley Spaceport Beta version 1 is one of my favorite maps, it is lively, faithful to the Mos Eisley we see in A New Hope and pretty fun too. I am happy to see an update. :)

No it´s my own Slave1 i made in XSI a while ago.
I checked my email folders but couldn´t found the mail from the guy anymore who made the nice looking texture for it.
So far i know he didn´t use the JKA texture but made his own.

Just noticed, is the orange pauldroned sandtrooper gonna be the main trooper in ur map?

Cus apparently, they are squad leaders, not normal troopers.

Pauldron Colours:
Normal troopers are - black
Lieutenants - white
Squad Leaders - Default orange

Just incase though. Just for a bit of realism, and it won't take much of effort to white/blacken the pauldron only.

And I wasn't from ur time, but I heard u were a LEGEND  Great to see u back. Curious, is this ur closing curtain for ur modding life though?

Btw, ur coruscant city ROCKS!
