Re: The Dark Times
Mav, did you model the Slave 1 cockpit? Or did someone else?
BTW, I have to say that Hoth Wave mode is my favorite.

Re: The Dark Times
Wait, shipped A-wing cockpits?
Is it one of those secret modtools things? Like it didn't make it into the final game?

Yeah, the A-Wing cockpit (along with other the cockpit views for vehicles and flyers) was cut from the final game but was included with the mod tools.

Re: The Dark Times
That's cool, I'm surprised how little people use it in mods.
Oh, and here's a cool pic I took while playing Wave on Kamino.
This happens a lot...

Re: The Dark Times
Lol, reminds me of PotC: At World's End where the pirates are trying to escape from Singapore and a company of E.I.C troops shoot another pirate who's trying to run but doesn't succeed. Sorry to get off topic.
On topic: Let me use this quote from Get Smart "Hahah! I'm so happy! This is the happiest day of my life!"
Here's two pics I took of Team Dogfight:

Re: The Dark Times
I suppose that will be up to Mav. We can all hope.
I have to say I like it, a lot, but it was a bit worse than what I was expecting. For a few of the heroes, it's somewhat hard to time the combo right to fit in the Finisher, and spam-hitting the block key for the light attack gets a little....tiring. Maybe it would've been better if you just held the key instead of hitting it over and over?
Plus, does Maris Brood have a force finisher? They're kinda tricky to get on some of the heros, but I got them on all the saber-users I could find, except her.

Hey, don't complain because you're not used to it yet. There's more to playing it than just spamming the block key, and yes, everyone has a finisher. Some characters have harder finishers to use (Maris, Vader) but make up for it in other ways.Fiodis wrote:I suppose that will be up to Mav. We can all hope.

The word you're looking for is not "worse," it's "less-familiar."

Re: The Dark Times
I have to agree with Mav' on that one. At first I thought the system seemed a little awkward and couldn't last very long as a hero, but by the time I'd played around a bit more and gotten used to it, I was able to last longer as a hero in this mod than as heroes from the shipped game.Maveritchell wrote:Hey, don't complain because you're not used to it yet. Unrelated to what I just said there, but I forgot to mention before that I love the new laser impact effects (and all the new effects, for that matter).
EDIT: One thing I noticed when playing wave mode - as I progress through waves, my reinforcement count goes up, so I should have more lives, right? But even if i have, say, five lives, as soon as I die once the defeat message comes up. Am I doing something wrong, or is it meant to be just one life the entire match?

Re: The Dark Times
Started waves, actually. The blue number shows what wave you're on and the red number shows progress towards your "hidden" objective (the prerequisite for unlocking the seventh wave). The red number is number of teammates' lives left in Hoth and Kamino wave.masterfaa wrote:Those are not lives, but finished waves.

Ah, okay, that makes sense. I think I remember you mentioning that in the WIP thread now.Maveritchell wrote:Started waves, actually. Re: The Dark Times
If you run up to him and use the "follow me" command it becomes much easier. Then you have a strong AI partner (because he still has all his hero weapons).masterfaa wrote:Thanks for correcting me,the mod is awsome(like everyone knows)
