This is the explosion effect files for tsurugi13's PLasma Grenade. I got permission from
to include the odf files for your convenience.
You MAY use this in any of your maps but be sure to credit me (computergeek)
HOW TO USE
Make sure you have a mod map made with the mod tools. THIS CANNOT BE ADDED TO ANY MAP ALREADY IN THE GAME (unless of course you make your own)
Copy over the Common folder from the Sides folder in the assets to your DATA_ABC/Sides.
Go to the assets and get all the files required for the unit you want to give this to.
Place them in the right folders inside of the pge folder. (.reqs go in the req foler, .odfs in the odf folder, .mshs and .tgas in the msh folder)
Go to DATA_ABC/Build/Sides and make a new folder called pge
copy the clean and munge .bats from another folder there (such as all or rep)
Open you lua (located in DATA_ABC/Common/Scripts/ABC) and scroll down to the part that looks like this-
ReadDataFile("sound\\yav.lvl;yav1cw")
ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\n1.lvl",
"all_fly_n1")
ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\Kwing.lvl",
"all_fly_kwing")
ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\dwarfspider.lvl",
"cis_walk_dwarfspider")
ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\gar.lvl",
"gar_inf_soldier",
"gar_inf_temple_vanguard",
"gar_inf_pilot",
"gar_inf_temple_soldier",
"gar_inf_vanguard")
ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\vehicles.lvl",
"all_fly_bwing",
"all_fly_virago",
"bes_fly_cloudcar",
"all_hover_hovernaut",
"imp_fly_tiephantom",
"all_fly_kwing",
"rep_fly_v19",
"rep_fly_obiwanstarfighter",
"all_fly_moldy_crow",
"all_fly_falcon")
Under all that add
ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\pge.lvl",
"your unit's odf name here")
Make sure you change it to your unit's odf name (such as rep_inf_ep3_rifleman)
Now save your lua and open up Visual Munge (if you don't know where this is, what are you doing trying to add a new side? [It's in DATA_ABC/Build])
where there is a drop down box click the arrow to open it and select Common
Munge
Now select pge from the drop down box
Munge
Now test it out!
