And what happens when they find the particle?
Well, so far I hate this topic, so I think I'll just stop posting now.

Its cuz people get bored of modding the same semi-simple game after a while, they get bored, they "leave", then eventually they get inspired to make a project for whatever reason, and they are back (at least for a little while).
Honestly i had a feeling that BF0 wouldnt last to long. All big projects like that start exciting then the inspiration and motivation fades and it eventually dies, its happened before.
Thats why it took me like 2 years just to get a BETA out for my mod.

What are you talking about? BF0 is still continuing.. I, i guess WE, just felt like posting here on GT was a mistake, for BF0. In the beginning we had several months of work to show, and now we don't have much updates.. I always hated WIPs, but now I say goodbye because i won't be on MUCH, I'll still be there especially in those topics which always got my interest.. On the other hand I'll just be moddeling a lot for BF0.. The main point here Syth is that BF0 is more alive than ever, and i swore to God that i would finish it.. I don't see why i wouldn't; i enjoy working on it very much
I didn't litterally post that I'm LEAVING, just that i will be off more than on, and so did waz..

It's not because people lose interest, it's because people don't know what they're getting into and get overwhelmed. As a counterpoint, it only took me four months from creation to completion of Spira (which while a map, was at least as work-intensive as a full sides mod, if not more) and about seven from creation to completion of the KotOR sides. Both got done, both big projects.

It's because they don't think through what "leaving" means. Most people are just tired at that moment and don't think through a month down the road when that itch to finish their next project or to capitalize on a new idea comes upon them.
@Arc: Not 'till I saw SS's post, I didn't.
But I might be staying, people. Just thought me, the worthless little tramp, might be wanted longer, so don't worry, I won't leave ya guys! yet hehehe...
I know! It's crazy! Practically everyone who posts here now is new. I miss the good 'ol days when we were still figuring out modding and trying to understand anything Leviathan said. I also miss the blue Gametoast.

Can I get a "Woot woot!" or an "Amen!" to that statement? A "Cheese!" would suffice. If you know any other agreeing exclamations I'm sure they'd work too... Occasionally I pick up the 'ol modding tools and try a few things and release them as betas...which is all I've ever released.
I'll be sticking around too in case anyone was worried.
