Hey guys, I have a strange urge to write a story (lol) and I'm wondering, what universe should I set it in?

All three styles you have as options sound great and would be excellent for a story. I would definitely like to see a Half life story though, or you could make up a galaxy of your own.

I'm thinking of either choosing Halo combined with Star Wars or a Combine-Based story in Half Life

I've decided to focus mainly on the Half Life Universe, maybe occasionally switching to the Halo-Star Wars Story once in awhile.

Please feel free to think of characters following these guidelines:
1)They should have a name that fits the universe they're in, I think it kinda ruins the atmosphere when you say "Then SP4MW4NKA opened the door and met new12122"
2) Don't make to many of the same thing, like, I dont want all of the characters to be combine elites with AR2 guns.
3) Bio in this format:
Personality: (Self explanatory)
Class: (Such as Metropolice, Grunt, etc.)
Weapons (if any, limited to 3):

Just a quggestion. How about you pit the characters of all three universes in your own odd universe, in which they duke it out in a competition for leader?

How about:

Hes a shy person, but loves being in action. Always likes to try new things, which makes others think of him oddly.

Sometimes his work goes unnapreciated, but he doesnt mind... Or does he? (Major villian flag!)

Half Life would probaly lose, its set in 2020, Halo is set in 2550, and Star Wars is just freakin ahead in alot tech. The reason why I think it should be Halo vs. Star Wars is because, Half Life is set on Earth only, and considering how Halo is set five-hundred years later on the same planet and others, it would provide a more interesting story in my opinion. I'd say its more balanced because of this:
-Clones use plasma-based weapons, similar to the Covenant's
-UNSC and Covenant Ships have bigger weapons than a Star Destroyer's ship-to-ship guns
-Star Wars has various amounts of technology and forces compared to the UNSC and Covenant, making it just like thhe Human-Covenant War all over again.

I like time travel. Halo vs. Star Wars would be a one way fight. The factions like Repiblic controlled huge amounts of space and poor little UNSC couldn't even keep alien scum off their own planet

No, the Half Life Story is seperated from Halo + Star Wars. About the Republic's abilities, its exactly like the covenant's, and the covenant got kicked off earth eventually. Plus, they're in war with the CIS right now

Ok, heres a character

Name: Lord Acido the Maleficent
Personality: The supreme dark lord of the antimatter universe where everything is dark and cold and yet still fires burn the feet of whoever walks upon the unhallowed ground. He is emotionally detached, and is in a constant state of depression. He is having maritial problems, and thus has anger management issues. Also, is a chocloholic.
Class: Supreme deity of infinite darkness.
Weapons: The ability to absorb all light
The ability to warp time, space, and matter
An army of underpayed minions who secretly loath him but do his work anyway to avoid being dipped in chocolate and eaten.

If you can include him, great! If this somehow goes against any unwritten rules, please state so.

I can't wait to read what your writing! Come to think of it, I should work on my story... I'm already 3 pages in, but I keep editing it to make it better.

No this story ain't dead, my English teacher was driving me nuts with homework. Heres Chapter 1 of the Halo story:

Chapter 1: Arrival
It was just any other day on the Everest Colony. The icy cold wind was furiously ramming into the sentry post that Private Jones and his partner O’ Brien was sitting inside. Jones sighed, and continued to clean the exterior of his BR55 battle rifle with a rag. Recent engagements with the Covenant on in the Inner Colonies have created a shortage in the newer BR55HB SR battle rifles. Everest, being a rather lowly funded colony, only had hand-me-down equipment for their local militia. Jones was about to disassemble the semi-auto rifle when he saw movement through the ice encrusted window. “Hey, look over there,” Jones whispered to his partner, who looked up from his bed. They threw on their standard-issue marine armor and walked outside, into the blistering wind. “I don’t see anything,” O’Brien shouted over the sound of the wind. Jones was about to reply before he saw a flash of blue plasma sear over his helmeted head and hit the snow. He raised his BR55 and scanned around frantically. Just then, a trio of more plasma bolts erupted from his right. The plasma shots landed all into O’Brien’s chest plate. The private screamed in pain as the bolts burned through his armor and into flesh. Jones ran to his friend to drag him back into the sentry. Once he got a hold of his partner’s harness, Jones saw a black figure run up to him and promptly stabbed him in the throat. Jones fell alongside his friend and looked into the sky. His eyes widened as he saw a huge “V” shape in Everest’s midnight sky. Before he could see anymore, the black-clad figure that had stabbed him promptly pulled out his sidearm from its harness and shot Private Jones dead center in the head.
