See, I don't agree with that. We're looking at thousands and thousands of jedi. The books often mention how one jedi or another didn't know each other, or only knew each other by name. So I think of the temple as the size of a large college campus. For instance, Purdue University has 30,000 students. If that were jedi instead of students, surely at least 5-10 would know how to use a double-bladed lightsaber.arty wrote:Could you please get rid of the double bladed lightsaber people because the only people with Double Bladed lightsaber were Darth Maul, Asajj Ventress*, Exar Kun, Bastila Shan, Jorak Uln, Jaden Korr**, Uthar Wynn, Darth Bandon, Zez-Kai Ell, Darth Zannah, Jastus Farr, Azrakel, N-K Necrosis, Shado Vao.

Double bladed lightsabers are cool - in moderation. Too many of them makes them lose that "cool-factor". Think about the first time you saw Maul use his in Ep I. I know I said "wow!!" I do agree that there should be far fewer doubles than singles in the map. Actually it would be cool to see completely different sabers / saber styles in the game. A light saber whip(?), two saber fighting styles, or more people with sabers like Dooku's would be cool in my opinion.Teancum wrote:See, I don't agree with that. I think if you're going to have double bladed sabers, maybe put a unit cap on them (3-4 MAX), so that not everyone can be one/use one.

Ooh, could you have a jedi that uses that 'backwards hold' that you once made? That was awesome!
I"m thinking that the pillars could use either a- a more grainy texture, like old and about t o fall apart thing or b- a slight shinyness. Right now the models themselves are great, but the texture is somehow lacking. It looks kinda out of place. Just my two cents though.
Just out of curiosity, are you making some custom animations for any of these jedi?

See, now that would be awesome also, but only in moderation again. However, that requires ALOT of time and effort...the end result would be awesome, but that's just a huge process to get one.A light saber whip(?)

Code: Select all
New animations + variety = pwnage
No stars. This is Coruscant. You really can't see starts thanks to all of the light and enviromental pollution that exists here. I like the sky right now but only as a backround color. I think that it needs building backdrops, some traffic and haze. Not too much, but still, haze. The jedi temple isn't an exceptionally tall building.Anyway, some stars would be nice,

But why stop at two dimensions? Make it three! Give a Jedi light-cubes. Or light-icosohedrons!arty wrote:Or someone with two Double bladed, or 4! (General Grievous)
And if at all possible, I want more dimensions than three explored. I want a Jedi with a light-torus that travels through time. And space.
...let's keep it simple. If the trouble is to be made to make a map that's movie accurate, let's keep it confined to things we've actually seen in the movies.

There's a map here with elevators. I noticed the Jedi Council Chamber was on the top of a needle shape tower and they would have to take an elevator instead of stairs cuz stairs don't fit.
Here's the map with elevators...

I agree with Maveritchell. Let's keep this movie accurate!

I agree with Maveritchell. Let's keep this movie accurate!

I think this should be fun accurate. That's why the game was created - to provide fun, covered in a tasty star wars environment. When accuracy costs fun, the whole sense of the map is in danger. Nobody plays a map that's no fun, and therefore, nobody will notice the accuracy in this map.
So keep it like it is, Vyse. No changes toward fun, and none towards accuracy. Battlefront II has the right mix to be enjoyed by both accuracy-geeks and shooter-fun-guys, who only know the movies. (or sometimes, not even all of them^^)

Couldn't agree more Protector_Pulch. It doesn't matter if it is very accurate if it's no fun. Plus, sometimes attempting to make something like this 100% accurate isn't fun in itself!
However, I will be making it as accurate as I can but I am putting the fun factor ahead of it. Which means double sabers and I was thinking of even doing a 4 blade saber like someone mentioned above. I don't know well see.
Below is a beta floor and new pillar texture. I think the floor is a lot nicer (and accurate) Also, I changed the lighting from yellow to blue-ish color!
I don't know about making a new animation. I might end up putting a lot of hours into it and have it look terrible. It would PWN though. Well see.

Dang! I forgot vader used a diferent skeleton. oh well, I have a upgraded mace and dooku combo. The files can be found here vyse- http://hosted.filefront.com/Striker07/
Theres also force push the AI use. Also anyone one else that wants to use my acuratized combos is free to.
INFO: The dookus attacks are linked, both combos are slightly edited, block is acuratized, much better feel to jedi.
