In my last thread, I had talked about getting hit with a trojan. Well, I just got another one, and my profile was labeled as "Corrupt" again, then I had to click "OK" twice. Now, last time my computer had been on all day after changing things. I moved everything to the new profile, then a thunderstorm knocked out my power. When it came back on, the old version of it came back with nothing on it (the one time I should have copied, I cut+pasted everthing
![Mad :x](./images/smilies/icon_mad.gif)
). The old files on the new profile had been wiped from memory, but the only thing not touched (my firefox) remained (You can just imagine what I was saying
![Wink :wink:](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
) When this occured today, I figured out how to fix it.
1) When the corrupt message appears, click OK twice.
2) You log on to see a default backround, your current browser, and an empty recycle bin
3) Once the main tasks (Virusscan, xfire, etc.) have finished, turn off your computer (just turn it off, don't do it the normal way <- very important)
4) When you turn it back on, go onto your profile
5) The "corrupt" message won't appear, and your old profile is back (yay
![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
)
Now I'm going to get a better Firewall, one better than my current one. I don't like it when this happens, it's very
very annoying.
