If you're using the Rogue Squadron, why do you rely on speeder bikes ?
I think some A-wings or X-wings would fit better.

There are both X's and squints, as far as fighters go, but add too many ships and the level is broken for players. Also, computers crash speeders - danger zones or no - far less often than they crash fighters.

And Adreniline, I was saying that I would keep the orange color scheme- not that I thought you meant "instead of." The all-orange adds uniformity, much as the all-white of stormtroopers adds it. The sort of variation I was wondering if should be done would be slight variations in appearance, not in color. And thank you for resizing that!

-Currently working on making the map harder for a singleplayer, which is predominated by making the AI less stupid.

-All the speeders were removed; I think they open up the map too much, and, additionally, the AI got off the speeders less than I would have liked.

-The rebel jettrooper was changed to a Rogue Repulsor Trooper. He's still carrying the stock jettrooper weapons- although any suggestion to the contrary would be appreciated and given due consideration.

-The Rogue Pilot's award pistol as the default weapon was removed, replaced by an upgraded version of the commando pistol.

-As promised, some more screens:

That looks great for a first map. It looks great for even an experienced map maker!

I really don't like the rebel jet trooper too much, I don't know why, its just something about him that just doesn't click to me, aybe its the lack of jet pack, that can be overlooked but still....

As I said earlier, the Yavin textures fit very well with this map, and, if I may amend this, so does the sky. No other sky- in my opinion, fits the map quite so well.

And then, what might be your solution?

I can understand what you mean, though- the jetpack-less trooper was not my first choice. However, the pilot model looks bad with just a jetpack skinned on, and trying to skin an [armored] model of any of the soldiers with jetpacks to look like it's wearing a rebel flightsuit ends with poor results.

On another note, for some reason I can't seem to find, in the localize tool, the name for the file that is the Yavin Tower Turret. I want to rename it, seeing as how this map is not on Yavin IV.

To be honest, I have no solution, I would suggest just kicking it out, but your map, I'll download this either way and have a lot of fun, because this really looks to bve coming along great! :D

I'd say that should just try to make an orange jet-trooper and call it Deep space mechanic.

I'd prefer to keep the Rogues out of armor, and having said that, I have tried an orange jettrooper- and it looks bad.

On a higher note, the Rogue Repulsor Trooper is complete; he's been given a weapon I call the "Plasma Cannon."

The factions are now nearly equal in difficulty to face, so once I've worked out some pathing issues and probably reskinned the Dark Trooper (Mk II), I'll release a beta. For that, I'll be looking for about four Gametoasters with previous modding experience to do a closed beta.

Bad looking units are not illogical, but
flying without a jetpack is.

The Rogue Repulsor Trooper flies not with a jetpack, but rather with a repulsor harness. Thus, the name.

I'll post a few screens, and, in about half an hour, update this post with a (rather large) download for a beta. Call me attention-hungry, but I decided to make the beta open.

EDIT: For whatever reason, Filefront decided not to process my file. I'll get an upload tomorrow, as for now, I need to sleep.

EDIT: .rar download: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0JARMMC8

This first screen I think I might make into the loading screen for the level.

Oh, these screens are very nice.
VERY nice.

The one with Luke and the X-Wing would be a nice Loadscreen, too.

Downloading now. Test results to come tomorrow.

Anyone beta testing please note that I'm already aware of the floating trees and the terrain error over one of the entrances to a volcano CP.

Also, I'd like opinions on whether not fixing the vehicle sounds is a real detraction.
