I'll have to watch the trailer, but is that all of the characters? Or just the ones announced? Cuz I know quite a few people, including myself, more than just a tad disappointed with that lineup

Oh no, not all of the characters.

We have two years of Dojo updates to get through, they will all be revealed in good time.

Okay good. Cuz there was talk of having a lot fewer fighters this time around.

Thank you Fusion for the most awesome avatar ever.

I gotta ask... is Marth going to be one of the returning characters?

I want Girahim and Awakened Mewtwo. Give me those and I'll be very happy.

^Awakened mewtwo <----- I was thinking the same thing. It would be like getting a new and old character back at the same time.

Surprised you didn't at least link to the Mega Man intro trailer.

Dead serious, this is a thing. This makes me so confused, but happy.

Yeah, this is pretty rad. There are comparisons to Game & Watch and/or Rob, and I think they're apropos.

Yeah, very Game And Watch-y. Also, this is just a rumor, but apparently Nintendo put up Ocelot on the Smash website for a few minutes and quickly took it down. I so want it want it to be true.
Also, thanks for the embed.

Just for sake of completion, here's the original trailer (with Villager from AC):

Does the Animal Crossing Villager look a little like he plays like Ness/Lucas? He absorbed Samus' blast, and he's about the right size, but I dunno... It's not my theory, it's my cousin's.

To be honest I thought about G&W more than Ness/Lucas. He has a bunch of random item attacks and can absorb attacks, probably for later use.

Yeah, you can see that his "collect" move is based around re-using whatever he absorbs (~3:25) - more like a combination of the reflector and the "absorb" moves.

Mega Man looks like he'll be a fun spam character - even some of his basic (A) moves look like they're ranged (~4:05).

Yeah, if I have time. :o

But seriously, so excited for this! Can't wait to see what they're gonna do with the DRC - it hasn't really been utilized very well for any Wii U games so far except like ME3 and New Super Mario Bros. U. :o

Well I tip my hat to nintendo for always bringing in something different(Keeps it interesting). They also said they will be uploading a photo once every five days...or is it one photo per 5 days...hmm well its something like that. Very excited for this, look closely and DK seems to have a cooler looking up B attack in the trailer. Maybe different storylines for both versions?

I was blown away by Nintendo's presentation. Did not expect the Wii Fit trainer in there, but still looks like a good line-up. I remember saying to some of my friends a few weeks ago that the only other 3rd party characters Nintendo would probably consider adding were Mega Man and Simon Belmont, and it seems about half of that came true. Still holding out hope for Simon to get added; Castlevania was one of the 8-bit classics.

When asked this morning in an interview, Sakurai confirmed tripping is out.

I am so happy right now.

So Luigi doesn't have a final smash anymore? Seems unbalanced.
