I didn't think there were further Star Card upgrades.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)
Just saw it. No there aren't. I mistake it with the traits.
I really hate that if you charge a weapon up it automatic shot after it is fully charged. Is there a trick to uncharge it without shooting?? In BF2 you can simply jump and release the fire button. But in the new BF it doesn't work

Yes you can actually. I think you just change back to your normal weapon or something.

AFAIK they can only be upgraded once.Anakin wrote:Has anyone upgraded an star card yet?? The first upgrade just makes the cool down faster, but what about the 2nd/3rd?? Do they make the effects of the cards better or only the cool down??

It goes up whenever you get a kill streak, and goes down whenever you die.Anakin wrote:Yes commander I noticed it.

What do you mean by kill streak?? 5 kills in under 10 sec, or something else??

In my experience, it seems to be about 3 kills within 10 seconds.Anakin wrote:What do you mean by kill streak?? 5 kills in under 10 sec, or something else??

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)
So I'm super ticked at DICE right now. There is a new fad of people using bowcaster+jetpack to jump over people and one shot them. Since bowcasters deal splash damage it's impractical to dodge or LoS. Also since it's splash damage you don't need good aim for it either.
Normally I would dismiss it has a imbalance that the devs didn't catch and grit my teeth until they fix it. Except apparently this is intended as EA released a video showcasing how insanely powerful the combo is on the official facebook page. I also noticed that one of the in-game tips specifically tells you to run bowcaster+jetpack. This is something the developers did deliberately.
So yes this low risk / high reward strat is completely intended. And before anyone tries to say that it's a trick to help new players compete I will point out that bowcaster has the highest rank requirement of all the weapons in the game, so that only experienced players can use this gimmick.
No counterplay gameplay should never be endorsed. That's not even going into the fact that they marketed the game as having a authentic OT feel, yet nowhere in the OT did I see stormtroopers spamming jetpacks.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)
The January Update consists of new skins for Luke and Han on Hoth (their snow gear). They also bring over the Tatooine Survival map to MP as one of the smaller maps. They also announced the February and March content: February sees new Hoth Survival and large MP Hoth maps as well as Turning Point being added to all existing Walker Assault/Supremacy maps. March sees a new Endor map and a new Tatooine survival map.
The announcement also reveals the first three Season Pass locations:

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)
So...they give us more detailed locations of Planets we have already played AND still expect 50 bucks from us to give us some more different locations?

How many planets does Battlefield have? Or Call of Duty? Let's even branch out a bit and go Destiny's base game. (The answers are 1, 1, and 4, btw).
The number of "locations" shouldn't be THAT important, especially since the maps on those locations are so varied. The fact that they're giving us more maps for free as well as the new DLC maps is exciting.

There is also a bunch of nerfing going on too: homing shot, the DL-44 and Bowcaster have all been nerfed.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)
there will be always stronger and weaker weapons. Have you ever played the dl44? I don't like it, because it is a non range weapon. If others use, it's ok for me.
And the bobcats, it's heavy, but only if you are good in aiming. And if you are good in aiming, you can take every weapon.
For me the weapons are ok

Meh, I don't really care: I either have the E-11 or the T-21B. Either one works for me.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)
thank goodness, homing shot was so freaking frustrating. It's no fun getting killed by someone you can't shoot back at, let alone see.

The full patch notes are on the forums

As for all the star card nerfs, I'm glad. To me, Star Cards should have always been a sort of secondary weapon. An alternative if your primary wasn't quite getting the job done. Not an insta-kill button like half of them were at launch.

Considering we had more diverse locations in the series yes.(Also there are literally thousands of other locations to choose from).Twilight_Warrior wrote:How many planets does Battlefield have? Dont get me wrong, the bespin and deathstar seem like pretty cool locations, but I really wish they didnt go with endor agian. Im hoping the one they realese in 2017 is based off of the rogue one movie coming this year.
Also I had seen that free map they gave you guys recently, the tusken raider camp. Its just that wave mod map with multiplayer. Hopefully they wont be lazy with the other free maps. They should be more like that sweet jakku map.
