Gametoast Minecraft Server - Again!

Recently, I got an extra computer and so I thought, "Why don't I set up a GT Minecraft server on it?'. So I did.
The IP is 69.24.191.199:25565.
It's currently running the vanilla Minecraft server, version 1.6.1 It's a regular survival server, so get out there and create your empire! All the rules you need to know are on a board on a building near spawn.

Oh, cool. I'll pop on if I'm in a Minecraft mood.

Logged on and built a house only to find out you guys have everything already.
Then I started to get end of stream errors.

Shame you had to start this right when 1.6.1 came out. I would totally join, but I don't feel like downgrading.

I would assume he`s updated considering it`s a vanilla server.

Horses are definitely the coolest thing in Minecraft now. So many awesome uses.

Updated the server. Sorry for the delay, the 1.6 server wasn't up for download last I checked.

Got a nice little house going:
So far, 1.6 has been fun. Love the new Hardened Clay and Dyed Clay (good luck finding any on the way from spawn to my house, though
) and the performance seems to have gone up since 1.5.
Those Zombies though, they're somewhat difficult to handle now. You kill one and there's suddenly 4 more behind you. That and they can now lock onto to you from 40 blocks away.

How do you guys make such awesome stuff so fast? My house is garbage and I'm barely making bread.
No worries though, because once I get a horse I'll be unstoppable.
And I'd like to quote Fusion on those zombies. They appear out of nowhere.

Hmm I might go on sometime if I ever update minecraft from what, 1.4.7 ? Cant remember, I usually only play the xbox version now, 'cause Im making a giant metropolis (360 edition has FAR superior creative mode over pc, movement speed is much better for going back and forth placing blocks)
But yeah I might go on sometimes, I want to see what horses are like.

There are officially too many zombies in this game.
Ran outside, fought 2 that spawned, 4 more spawned. Tried to run into my house, a spider and a creeper killed me at the door. Respawned, there's a zombie in enchanted leather armor in my house, causing me to die again. Managed to pick up all of my stuff and book it into the secret cave under my house. I kill one zombie, then four more (another in leather armor and one in gold armor) spawn behind me in the cave. Somehow, I managed to build up into my mineshaft and quickly shut the door until help arrived. There must have been at least 10 zombies at my door once it was shut, and to make it worse, it was raining all night and about 1/4th into the day.

It is hardcore mode after all.

Just hard. You actually can't play hardcore on multiplayer unless you implement some sort of deathban.
But yes, the zombies are super buffed now. I was just playing on single player, running around trying to find horses, and lo and behold, first night (when you can usually just go all night without running into too many mobs if you're careful) hordes upon hordes of zombies. Went through two stone swords and half a wooden one before the night was out, and I still had some that were chasing after me while catching fire in the sunlight. At first I thought it was one of those zombie invasions like the villages get sometimes, but the sky looked normal...

I'm a bit fond of the challenge. I always thought the old zombies were too easy, you could mop them up with a stone sword every morning. Now I find myself putting some thought into zombieproofing the area around my house, arrow-shooting dispensers and so forth.

My lighthouse built above my underwater base:
I still plan to add some sort of roof over it, and some sort of interior. Light is controlled by daylight sensors, it turns off during the day. I accidentally crashed the server when I wired up the redstone wrong the first try, sorry about that Gandalf.

First five minutes in-game went something like...
Suddenly zombies. Everywhere. I even got ambushed by one in fully enchanted gold armor.
Still fun though, thanks for setting this up!
