The Dark Times (fmr. "Battlefront Unleashed")

Ok, so I had planned on not making direct mention of this until I was almost done with all the scripting, but I just had so much fun tonight putting together the new combo setups that I felt compelled to share.
I've got a lot of information, screenshots, and information to share with you, but it won't all fit neatly into one post, so I'll stretch out showing new stuff over a few different posts. Here are the high points of the upcoming Battlefront: Unleashed:
New era ("Dark Times" era)
Characters from "The Force Unleashed"
AI Heroes
By-the-map skydome variation
Random heroes
"Hero support" units
New (-ish) melee system
I'd post more screenshots, but getting the video done took me longer than I cared for, and if I am to get any sleep at all I must get it now. That being said, I still have a tasty video to look at, covering the new melee system:

Mav...that's freakin' amazing.
Very impressive concept for the new melee system. And you actually figured how to get light and heavy attacks (I've wanted to see that in BF2 since playing God of War 1 ages ago) both working. Nice job.

Fascinating. Looks like another revolutionary idea, and one that I did not think possible on Battlefront 2. One of the worst parts of Battlefront 2 for me was the terrible melee combat systm, especially against other heroes. Pretty much my only stretegy before was smash atacks and dashing attacks, but it looks like all that has changed. good luck with finishing this up, I'm sure it will be nothing less than stellar. :clone:

Looks awesome, especially hero support.
1) Are you going to make it also for Conversion Pack maps? Would be nice (especially Raxus Prime).
2) Are you going to make some custom maps for it?
3) And will it conflict with BFX, since almost every map has got 5 eras now (CW, GCW, KotOR, BFXCW, BFXGCW)?
4) Can you make something like a Lone Wolf mode, where you play as a Jedi/Sith with increased health alone against enemy soldiers.

Actually it was already done in Battlefront Project. Although there were no heavy combos, just a heavy attack separately from normal attacks.

Wow, that is amazing.
Slightly Off-Topic: Was the Battlefront Project ever completed?

Feel free to trim a few more Convo Pack modes to make sure this fits in and they together don't go over the limit

I can't speak for everyone but I don't think any particular map needs more than four modes, especially when there's three eras. That should shave off a lot.

I see a small problem that will occur; the era list will fill up, and won't be able to show all of the other eras. I remember someone saying that it is possible to put a scroll bar thing in the era and game mode boxes like the map scroll bar so that you can see the other maps. You should probably try to make that or other wise there's going to be a problem with people who have BFX or other mods like that.

1) Nope
2) Nope
3) Nope; the era list is supposed to scroll, according to Zerted
4) Was planning on it

Good eye, spotting those. Starkiller and Shaak Ti are my custom models (using SWBF2 models as a base), although Shaak Ti doesn't have her cloth yet (she also uses the same head-tails the Conversion Pack model does). The Shadow Guard is a royal guard model from JKA, retextured.
