This looks brilliant Mav i haven't felt this much anticipation about a mod since the first dark times you released. I was wondering since Vace will be making an appearence will the maps be getting support for this mod?

Hey Mav, I know these aren't actually in TFU but any chance of us seeing some Imp Commandos? Like as an easter egg?

Re: Dark Times II: Rising Son
This mod technically already has Imperial commandos: the Navy Commando and the Storm Commando from a few pages back. And Mav already stated that DT/DT II aren't solely just based on TFU.

Re: Dark Times II: Rising Son
I think Nova is suggesting adding black colored Republic Commandos (now serving the Empire, hence "Imperial Commandos") to DTII.
To be sincere, I don't find it necessary, nor a good idea, all of Maveritchell's creations are original, they add something new to the game, these Commandos, on the other hand, have been done to death. Not even Maveritchell can turn them into something innovative at this point, and if they don't add any interesting element to gameplay, then what's the point in having them?

Yes, I was talking about the black Commandos.Nihillo wrote:I think Nova is suggesting adding black colored Republic Commandos (now serving the Empire, hence "Imperial Commandos") to DTII.

Hmm... you got a point there. The Commandos (mainly Delta Squad) have been put in almost every major mod that I can think of I was just suggesting in adding the black commandos since this second release has a lot more units and the black commandos might be a fun add-on.

I don't remember seeing Delta Squad in BFX but by Black Commandos do you mean republic commando armour with black painting on them? I personally like the storm commandos betterNova Hawk wrote:

Hey Mav, have you thought about including X1 and X2? (or even Shara), the characters from Elite Squadron.

I don't know muc about them, but as far as I know I don't think they played a big role in this time period.Revan-Shan wrote:Hey Mav, have you thought about including X1 and X2? (or even Shara), the characters from Elite Squadron.

Unless Maveritchell has the sudden urge to make an entire new (and complex) model from scratch, animate it and then add it to the game, there is not a single chance.skelltor wrote:is there any chance that u will make Kazdan Paratus to go with the raxus prime map?

Its getting so hard for me to wait for this mod, although i know how hard it is to come do this stuff. Is Mav too busy to work on it atm, or is he just gonna release a massive update later on? i apologize for seeming so impatient and demanding as i know you guys hate it when people do this, but its been almost two months since his last update, and with such an awesome mod, i just really want to know how its all going...

You are right that it's been a while since I gave an update, and one is overdue. I tabled my work on the project for a month (I had some personal goals I wanted to meet), but I recently started working on the project last week.lucasfart wrote:Its getting so hard for me to wait for this mod, although i know how hard it is to come do this stuff. The way I work on things tends to be an all-or-nothing endeavor, and consequently it never takes me too terribly long to complete a map once I conceptualize it. The new map I'm working on should be done in no more than a week or two, and in that time I'll probably also update Era's map and maybe add in a new unit as well. I'll put out some updates, just be patient for a little longer.

Cool! glad to know things are still going well. I can definitely wait a while longer, its just the fact that i didn't know how long i would have to wait that worried me mostly. Can you tell us what new map you're working on/the theme of the map?Maveritchell wrote:You are right that it's been a while since I gave an update, and one is overdue.
