A bit of an odd choice. I wonder what they mean by that...

At least it's not as corny as some other titles in the series. *coughThePhantomMenacecough*

Joking aside, I love how some people assume Episode VII is solely down to Disney, when it was George Lucas who went back on his word and did the prep work for it prior to his selling out.

I thought that the Phantom Menace was the second worst Star Wars, but I do find the title quite catchy.ggctuk wrote:At least it's not as corny as some other titles in the series. *coughThePhantomMenacecough*

It's vague and generic, but I don't mind it. It's hard to come up with an original name for a Star Wars story unless it's something pulpy like Attack of the Clones.

Cool trailer. The sith seem to be always on the cutting edge of lightsaber technology.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII "The Force Awakens"
Well...um....hmmmm. I dont know.... guess ill have to wait and see more. Truly is a strange age when you have a trailer for a trailer. That thumbnail with the rebel pilot...it looks pretty awesome, ima try my hand at texturing something similiar.
Edit: That design for the sith saber seems pretty um..well at least to me it seems kinda like...why have those handle thingys? Lol what benefit does those two mini saber things have? I can see the influence from medavil swords with that handle, but wouldnt you be more prone to getting your fingers cut off that way? It looks cool dont get me wrong but for some reason it bothers me :p

Re: Star Wars Episode VII "The Force Awakens"
I like what I see. It's actually nice that almost everything is just slightly newer versions of designs from the OT. A new X-wing, new stormtroopers, new TIE fighters, new Millenium Falcon, etc. It gives me hope that the focus will be on a new, exciting expansion upon what we know and love, rather than some largely unrecognizable universe with an occasional stroll down nostalgia lane.
Or I could be totally wrong, and the film could end up being one long, gratuitous trek down the nostalgia highway.

It kind of reminds me of those screen shots you had taken for cado nemodia. The cinematogragphy for now looks visually interesting. That can be said for all star wars films I believe during thier respective times.JazzMaster wrote:That X-wing scene.. gave me some serious chills. Beautiful.
I can for sure appreciate that he isnt using modern digital techniques and using something more akin to the OT.

Ooh, one really tiny detail I just noticed on re-watching that I loved: the Millennium Falcon has a new radar dish!
