Re: Team Fortress 2
I don't play it(yet?), but I'm always tracking Valve games (they are my favorite games developer).
The first Spy update was genius, they managed to put a plot twist in an update for a game, that's... impressive.
I think a bow is a strange weapon for a Sniper, uh, but that's just Valve trying to add some variety to the classic Sniper gameplay.

I play off and on, but I'm getting a bit more into it. So I can't give a good enough opinion on the update until I get used to playing as each class and how they work. I'm currently a lousy spy, and barely played sniper.

Re: Team Fortress 2
When I did play, I loved it. I stopped playing as I generally only game during the summer (i.e. nothing else to do). It was great fun to see people get blown to bits for random reasons in the servers where all they were doing was getting unlocks
Maybe I'll come back to it this summer, probably not. I generally play GMOD and other random games during the summer. I shall try to find a new MMOFPS to get involved in for the summer and play that a bit, but, seeing as where life has taken me over the last year, I highly suspect that my agenda will be much different.
The graphics are great though, I love the use of toon style in a FPS.

Re: Team Fortress 2
Yeah, I love TF2. The new update isn't very good in my opinion because the idea of gaining weapons via "random events" isn't as well thought out as the achievement way.

Re: Team Fortress 2
The mmo type drops are pretty fail. (And will be more fail when they give them random stats.)
Already found 2 kritz, 1 sandman, 1 natasha, and 1 flare gun -.-
Gimme the Diet Dr. Pepper new weapon unlocks, not weapons I already have. :O
EDIT: +1 killer boxing gloves and +1 Cloak and Dagger watch.

Re: Team Fortress 2
The new item system is sooooo broken it's just plain dumb. Atleast when you farmed achievements you had to still work for them. But whatever, work with what you got.
I haven't played much, like 30mins or so, because I got back from Greece a few days ago.

I've played probably 30 hours and have maybe 5-10 items, 2 of which are new items, and the rest are duplicates.Moving_Target wrote:The new item system is sooooo broken it's just plain dumb. Atleast when you farmed achievements you had to still work for them. But whatever, work with what you got.

Re: Team Fortress 2
10+ hours played and only 2 items, Cloak and Dagger, and the Razorback. Considering I haven't played TF2 consistently until this update, those are the only unlocks I have. Yet in the same game some people got 3 or more items and played for less time then me. I guess the random drops just hate me

I don't have the game, but I really want to get it. Mainly because of the Meet the Team videos. Meet the spy was genius, and I played with a friend, and the ambassador rocks!

Re: Team Fortress 2
I was finally able to figure out that if I turn off HDL effects, I can get it to work on my crappy computer a few days ago. I don't really mind the drop system, but that could just be because I don't have any duplicates yet. So if you see a Pyro with my name, that's me.

Re: Team Fortress 2
I'm not a fan of the new system, but whatever. I got the cloak and dagger and that thing is amazing.
The hats are pretty awesome too from what I've seen.
Also I don't do the idle servers for items, so it's annoying to actually play for 2 hours and get nothing.

Well, Valve always supported the community, I'm sure they will fix it.
