Problem with Portal

I'm not sure if this belongs here, but I need help. I downloaded thye portal demo, and I liked it, so I bought the full version. However, in the full version, Glados isn't talking. Is it supposed to be like this? If it isn't does anyone know how to fix it?

Check your Audio Settings. Make sure they're all up so you can hear them. If that doesn't help, try uninstalling it, (Right click>Delete Local Content...) and try reinstalling it.

Well, it hadf worked on the demo, but when I installed the full thing, Glados didn't make a sound. However, I just got the idea of restarting my comp, and the Glados sounds work now. Thanks, though.
