Ok. I've just compared a few of the texture files and he's taken parts of FS textures(tho they are at much lower rez) . I'll convert some of them into jpgs and indicate the parts.

It would be ideal if you could simply send screenshots of the UVs paired with a wireframe/render of the model (obviously at the LOD you think was copied) in different ports of a 3D program. If you could send the texture in its unmodified state (that is, preserved for the UVs it would use - a watermark is fine as mentioned above) that would be best, too. Thanks!

Making sure the credit is given is only one side of the coin (it's obviously important, though); the file is supported here and hosted at SWBFFiles, and it makes us look bad if we do support a file that doesn't respect authorship or IP.

I don't have the ability at the moment to send you models (recently bought a new PC and Im yet to shift all my old wanted files over - and they're all over the place, if even I still have them, on my old PC) however I believe Talon from FS will extract a couple for you from the mod when he has time.

I have however done a comparison shot of 2 textures from FS and 2 from Warlords weapons pack as an example. Not all of the textures from his weapons pack are from FS, some are likely from Galactic Conquest I believe (I recognise the scope sight texture from GC anyhow) but for all I know they released the files to the public so that's neither here nor there.

I'll send the link in a PM for you and Im sure Talon will get in contact with regards to the models and where to go from there. The fact however that Warlord has lied about the textures being all of his own work (on SWBFFiles) when in actuality they clearly aren't, and the fact that he seems to have deleted the pictures and links to the files from this thread since I posted, should really make it plain that some of the models are from First Strike.

I had already downloaded the assets just to confirm, and with the images you forwarded to me I don't think there needs to be any further doubt on the issue - at the very least textures were misused without permission (or attempted permission) and then lied about.

Links to this file have been removed and any files/maps/mods that use these should find a substitute, as they will also not be allowed in the future. This file and the map that uses these will be removed from both here and SWBFFiles.
