Heres some pics, the first is the rifle version. The second is the rocket launcher held version i made too(for those with a bit of nostalgia)
Honestly to tell the truth, its the texture that makes it all happen. If it was just a grey mass, you would see I don't go into very high detail(i.e those cylinders in the main barrel? are flat textures)
But that aside, for the finisher:
