Auto-Deleted Topics [Solved]

Post by Fierfek »

Why is the auto-delete topic list so short in Star Wars General Discussion and Off-Topic? In SWGD, there seems to only be about 10 topics at a time - 11th one is auto-deleted. And Off-Topic shares this characteristic (except that it allows for about 20 topics). Furthermore, why is this disabled in the Media Forum?

It's mainly to save space on the server. Most of the threads posted in off-topic and it's sister forum, Star Wars General tend to stack up rather quickly. The threads won't be deleted while people are posting in them, but once they hit over the month of no posts mark, they just tend to clutter the forum and then someone recreates it anyway. Without this, the site gets slower.

Media does not have this system because some of the bigger threads, such as the video archive and the Screenshots (BFII and Other) might accidentally get deleted.

Ah, I see - I didn't know that the topic has to be a month old.

Thanks!
