Yesterday crytek introduced the new cryengine
changelog at cryengine.com
now the engine offers offline working, physical based shading, better cutscene editor, and lot lot more.
the release date is "later in this week" so i think today or tommorow because no one works on week end.
Give it a try dear gametoasters its amazing.
if heres someone whos intrested in making a small 1-3 level game with me pm me.
Try it, its worth every second of time you put into developing that because the results are freakin awesome.

Ah i thought that first too 
But it has no version number anymore so its more like cryengine 3.6 (actual version is 3.4.5)
They say (which is true) that the CryEngine is not the same anymore since 2009 because of the updates and they are right. its not directx 9 anymore its directx 11. if frostbite is updated so often it will be named frostbite 900000
EDIT: Released. But its not the release for what they maked a trailer for.
No GPGU weather or all the other nice things just a Crysis 3 release (so everything whats in crysis 3 is now possible, but the ryse release is not here)
