What's in the Box
I really don't know what all this is, but its...cool. Some sort of sci-fi film project revolving around well lots of strange things, including some apocalyptic event and a very weird black box. So far only 2 films or episodes have been shown so far. I really don't know what to make of it, but I'll be keeping an eye on it, and I invite you to take a look at it as well.

Seems like your standard steadycam sci-fi indie-type movie with accompanying ARG. What's in the box? It's usually a cat... or not.

Re: What's in the Box
I've seen it already. There is an interview with the director. He appears to have taken some inspiration (as well as sound clips and soundtrack) from the TV show Lost and the Half-life series, and possibly other franchises.
The film is interesting; low budget, original perspective, puzzling story (if there is one), no wonder people talk so much about it. I would watch a full movie like this, if it were to be produced properly.

For some reason when you said "What's in the Box" I immediately thought of the movie UHF

Re: What's in the Box
I have only seen their first part, I had never seen that short clip along the highway. The first upload of "what's in the box" on youtube is over a year old though, so the project could possibly take yet another long time before completion.
The same producers also made a video for a competition for stormchasers, they didn't win (because it they overdid the "do something cool after you quickly spun around 20 times"-part a lot) and only got an honorable mention, but it's hilarious anyhow:

Congratulations! You just won an Internet. +1 InternetTeancum wrote:<snip>
Back on-topic, whenever I click the first link, all I get is a black screen with a red glowing ring, and random numbers & letters when I mouse over the bottom part of the ring. How odd
The third link's movie is friggin' awesome. I'm gonna keep an eye on this, too.

But not for too long, unless you want to waste too much time on something that leads nowhere . (unless they updated it since the last time I looked)Nihillo wrote:Try clicking on the ring.Valthero wrote:Back on-topic, whenever I click the first link, all I get is a black screen with a red glowing ring, and random numbers & letters when I mouse over the bottom part of the ring. Re: What's in the Box
Well, after a few seconds something changes and the four segments of the ring can be clicked on: the left segment of the ring displays a news report saying... hum... something, the upper segment shows that video where someone is trying to escape with "the box" from a group of armed men with gas masks, the bottom segment gives you what I believe is a password input field, right segment shows torn pieces of a newspaper.mswf wrote:But not for too long, unless you want to waste too much time on something that leads nowhere .
