Well, in honor of Valentine's Day, I decided to write this spiffy little (i.e. long) poem. Note, the events portrayed are not based on any real experiences, but now that I mention it, I wish they were.
Ahem
Pray you observe the humble geek,
This forlorn, loveless loser.
If he so ever happened to get a girl,
Why, everone would predict that he'd lose her.
But there is hope yet,
For our hapless friend.
A turn in his fortune,
Comes 'round the bend.
A gamer girl, one of his kind,
One day appeared on the spot.
She actually looked a lot like Samus.
Yes, she was just as hot.
T'was love at first sight,
As a boy would be wont to do.
But what a suprise when the geek found out
That the gamer girl loved him too!
From there on and there out,
Their relationship blossomed,
And needless to say,
It was quite awesome.
Games were played,
Games lost and games won.
Cod, L4D, Halo 3 and Smash Bros,
Rockband and Zelda, all in great fun.
And so it went on:
Every afternoon they'd play.
Then the geek thought of something
For St. Valentine's Day.
A present, he thought.
But what would do the trick?
Battlefront 3, of course.
That's a good shtick.
Everything was ready:
The dinner, date, and cake.
But his plan would be shot to pieces
By the discovery he'd make.
BF3 was cancelled.
His reserve copy was useless.
He sat down on the couch,
All glum and listless.
Then the gamer girl arrived,
Clad in t-shirt and jeans.
She saw something was wrong,
About it, no beans.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
"You look so sad.
Today's supposed to be happy.
This must be bad."
"I wanted to suprise you
As you came through the door.
But BF3's had a run-in
with the cutting-room floor."
The girl only smiled,
Picking up the control.
"You know i'd love it if it
Was just Wii Bowl."
The geek understood
And began to play.
With plates full of pizza and cans full of pop,
They gamed the night away.
T'was near morning when,
Thumbs tired, they stopped.
He kissed her goodbye,
Drove her home and dropped her off.
He retuned to his abode
And collapsed in his bed.
And he knew that their love
Would never go dead.
If there's a lesson here
To be learned from this story,
It's that love can work in simple ways,
Such as video games quite gory.
Thanks for reading,
And as you go on your way,
Be ye married, dating or single,
Happy Valentine's Day.
[collapses from exhaustion]

Very nice! This part was my favorite. It made me LOL:
She actually looked a lot like Samus.
Yes, she was just as hot.
