Anyone else see it? I went tonight and I thought it was awesome. It keeps getting bad reviews. I disagree. I really enjoyed it. Creepy as heck.

As for if I'm seeing this movie in theaters, I'll just put it this way.

I might Netflix it once it's out on DVD. I've heard nothing but horrible things about it.

The Not Happening.
QFT -- Ever since I saw Unbreakable, which I count as the two most wasted hours of my life, I've had zero desire to see any more of Shamallamma's movies.

I've only seen Signs, The Village, and Unbreakable. I really enjoyed Signs, thought The Village wasn't as bad as people made it out to be, and couldn't understand why so many people thought Unbreakable was amazing.

Hes got a wierd style... I'm not even sure I want to see what hes gonna make Avatar, the last Airbender.
And after reading what the cause of all the stuff was, I really didn't want to see it.

I find it particularly annoying how they keep marketing the movie as "his first R-rated film," as though that'll make a difference.

Agreed. I don't think that a higher rating is something to be particularly proud of, it only means that there's more violence and disturbing scenes than in his past movies, which will actually narrow the audience.

Signs = Great
Village = Good
Unbreakable = Ok
Lady in the water = Meh
I'm sorry but this just doesn't look that good, and I find the concept of what happens to the people in it rather disturbing.

Totally agree.

I only saw the village and it was completely silly. Seriously. I dunno about this one, I'm not really into thrillers. Most of the time they're either way too lame and predictable (my friends don't want to watch thrillers with me because I always correctly predict when there's a "scare-moment". NOW! hehe.) or just overdoing it and gross. Last one I saw was in the last category with scenes like half mutated guys raping people and killing a baby (the hills have eyes). Only ones I liked were Fallen, White Noise and that one about that girl with an "imaginairy" friend called Charlie (attempting to recall movie title; ERROR, entry not found)
Anyway I doubt I'll go see this. The trailer is a bit vague.
