Why would you want to do that? If you make it bigger it will become blurry.

Anyways, it depends on what kind of Photo-editor you use. The program I use (Paint Shop Pro) you can get to it by: Picture, Change Size.

Oh yeah, I think this should be in Technical Advice and Tutorials (non-SWBF)... section.

Well, you cannot change the quality by only changing the pixel resolution. If you add more pixels, it actually makes the picture only bigger and blurry. The only thing you can do with pixels is making them smaller for a better picture.

If I were you I'd edit the picture with a Photo-editor, not looking to the pixels.

You can't increase quality where none exists. With a single picture, the best you can do is guess what it might look like expanded, but that doesn't truly make the quallity better.

There are a couple of ways to attempt to improve picture quality. The main one being that you have two or more pictures and you merge them into one. The steps to do that are too complex to list them here. If its important, look up "super resolution".

I'm pretty sure if you make it like a... vector graphic file format, you could resize it without changing the quality.
But to do that, you'd need a program like Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, or Macromedia Freehand. Those cost money though, and they would make the picture look a bit different (It's hard to explain). I have a feeling that's how Ipod did it.

Yea, all I know is that he DID do it, it was with some SWBF texture, a clone I think, he made it like 1024x1024, or maybe it was 2048x2048, either way, he did something like that.

It's definitely possible to increase image size and keep the detail, have a look at THIS link.

Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
That SWB2 skin only appeared to have been increased in size and look exactly the same, but it wasn't.. I tried my hardest to remember how I managed to maintain some quality in pictures, but I'm not sure if this is what I did...

-In the above picture I took a 512x512 raster-based image (NOT VECTOR :P ) then I set the x and z resolution up to 1000 instead of 10, and set the new resolution to 1024x1024...
It evidently creates a larger image size....

and the link for the larger resolution skin....
