This was one of the best superhero movies ever made. Flat-out awesome. I advise everyone to see it.

Fixed your statement :P Yeah, my wife and I saw it last night. Not only is it an incredible action hero movie, but it's fun for everyone. We got in the car after the show and my wife was like "We need to own that as soon as it comes out!" Can't sum it up better than that. 10/10

My dad told me has to preview it. He said since im still 13 and its PG-13 there could be something "unmature" in the movie. :|

Funny you should make that edit because I do plan on seeing it again tonight. But that's partly because my friends and I got there a little late and had to sit near the front row, missed the previews (I was anticipating the new TDK trailer), missed the first couple minutes of the movie, and it wasn't on one of the theater's 75ft screens.

Oh my god, that was so [diet dr. peppering] EPIC!

At first I was reluctant to go...after Fantastic Four...but seriously, this was very well written, and the robotic suits look the same/slightly better as the Transformers, which is a good thing.

Also,

Loved the Hydrant Robot! xD

And what was the name of the bad guy? I've nicknamed him Baldy McEvilface, because I heard him called multiple names throughout the movie and it confused me.

I haven't seen it yet, and I don't know if I will. The closest Cinema near me is close to ten dollars per ticket :faint: Kinda costly, and I get so busy anyway that by the time I have free time its out of the theaters. Nevertheless it looks like a great movie :P

His name is Iron Monger. He alludes to the name when he says "We're Iron Mongers Tony, it's what we do.

I dont know if its so in the movie, but Ive got a DC and Marvel Characters Encyclopedia :P , and Iron Monger's name is Obadiah Stane.

...I still prefer Baldy McEvilface :P

But yeah, Obadiah, that was the name I was confused on. I knew he was called Iron Monger beforehand, thanks to the wind-up Burger King toy I have that is currently standing in place while attempting the Moonwalk ;)

Great movie. Can honestly say its the only super hero movie I've ever really liked. Think this is partly because it isn't cliched. And the ending is awesome. 8/10

Since he was played by the same guy as Jeff Lebowski, I just called him Iron Dude :P
By the way, anyone see the stinger at the end?

Possible spoilers in rant:
Hidden/Spoiler:
(comeing form someone who wasnt ever read the comics or anything) I thought kinda sucked.. THere was just so many little things that just didn't make sense. Like he has all this ridiculously advance tech, and then he has a verizon?? not even an I-phone?
THis "jericho" or whatever wasn't even that cool but its such a big deal in the beginning.
And then he just all the sudden has "plans" for a suit and is able to make it out of scrap missiles, metal and an old computer? The terrorists (which looked really clean for living in the middle of no where) didn't even notice that he wasn't making a missile.
My main point is that the plot seems to be tripping over its self and its crammed with little things that just dont any make logical sense. Really good CG, but that doesnt make a good movie.
And my main beef is: NO IRON MAN THEME (except at the end credits) phhhht...
in the end id say its just a see for fun movie i dont know why it got so much publicity. All these marvel movies seem to just be big publicity stunts to real in money from comic fans and action junkies. The only marvels ive like so far are spiderman 2 and maybe 1.

Hidden/Spoiler:
Stark is a smart man, if he can design and recreate his own missile, he can make a simple suit of armor with weapons. The Flamethrower could easily have been a rewired ignition/liftoff system in the missile, the bullets could have been melted down metal or actual bullets from non-working guns the terrorists gave him to work with.

The terrorists did catch him making the suit, that's why they repositioned the work station so the terrorists could only see the materials from the security camera. Even after that, the terrorists caught them, noticing Stark was not present.

Two words, Product Placement. Plus, the iPhone sucks. What a waste. All this extra crap you don't need in a phone. Having been an Iron Man fan a long time, Tony is not the kind of character to buy some over the top item with crap it doesn't need just because he can. It's like when
Hidden/Spoiler:
he was working on the V-8 Motor with Jarvis.
He understands that kind of stuff. Yeah, he knows how an iPhone works, to be sure, but he's not one to go over the top for no reason, even when he was full of himself.
Hidden/Spoiler:
As far as the Jericho missiles go, it's say that's pretty impressive. The missiles splintered off and created a shockwave 20 miles away. Not bad at all, not to mention what they did at the point of impact, AND the fact that Stark undoubtely included a lot more than just explosives -- it probably had some sort of nanite-based tech that would eat through tanks and destroy computer systems knowing him.

But I digress, we don't know what else the missiles did, but explosions alone it was impressive. I'm sure they didn't want to make the missiles too cool. After all, they didn't want people leaving saying "that missile part was so cool!" They wanted them leaving talking about the final fight.
I fail to see even remotely how the plot tripped over itself. Being a a huge Iron Man fan I understood it perfectly, and my wife, who isn't into comic books or anything of the like understood things perfectly as well. We agreed that everything that needed to be explained was, and that the movie didn't leave any holes. Personally I think you're just trying to find something wrong with it.

But all in all you're welcome to your opinion that the movie sucked, even if your opinion is flat out wrong. :P

There was alot of little things. Id have to go see to catch them again, but another one i remember is stark mindlessly screwing the arm with a big screw driver. The thing was tons of little components, and wasnt made manually by him- what use is a screw driver? Or how hes just able to walk away from a 500 ft fall from the air in that giant proto suit? Or how pepper is like 2 meters away from the this huge generator when its exploding with electrical power that gets stain on the roof, but she can just run away from it? Or how he tests his suit in the garage with all his nice cars, what kind of stupid would do that? Youd have to be moronic to do that. Just little things though out that don't make sense really bug me. Those things could of easily been done differently. And there was nothing really emotional or moving about the movie, it was just a fun fun movie.
I only liked the beginning and the part were he goes and saves the fugitives form the terrorists.
Now again, i had my hopes up and am expecting a great movie with all of the great reveiws- a good plot/themes, some intense action, good sound track and good acting but it wasnt all of that so i was disappointed.

He built the suit to be adjustable, much like fuel injection on a car or anything of that nature. A car is built by machines, but is adjusted by humans to their specifications. By his nature he's a gearhead, thus the scene with him working on the engine. He wants to be able to make mechanical adjustments himself. Seemed pretty self explanatory

It's an EMP burst, not some sort of explosion. I doubt she went away without scars from shrapnel, but she wasn't the focus of that scene anyways. I have no idea what you're talking about with the walking away thing. Stane fell to his death, and Tony was still on the roof.

He stated himself his only focus was taking down terrorists who use his weapons. When you're bent on vengeance who cares about your cars?

Now on the inverse I absolutely loved the movie, literally a 5/5 for me, so I'm not attacking you or anything, just defending it.
