As preparation for the release of the Conversion Pack in a week, every day in the next week (9/14 - 9/20) you can anticipate seeing one new or updated aspect of the Conversion Pack covered. Sometimes it might be big, sometimes it might be small. We'll just have to see!
Countdown: T-Minus 7 Days
Hidden/Spoiler:
TIE Crawler
Also known as the "Century tank," this strange assault vehicle pops up in the Dune Sea of Tatooine, where it seems that everyone has managed to get their hands on them. How odd:
This treaded vehicle is a lot like its obvious cousin, the TIE fighter. Easy to deal out damage with, easy to deal out damage to. Don't get too close to a lot of angry infantry!
Countdown: T-Minus 6 Days
Hidden/Spoiler:
Clone Legions
The 501st legion certainly wasn't the only group of clones out there getting its hands dirty in defense of the Republic. Since we at the Conversion Pack are of course fans of equal opportunity, we wanted to show a few of the other legions that pop up on planets in Battlefront from time to time:
For the most part, all these legions "play" about the same, although you might notice slight differences if you pay attention.
Countdown: T-Minus 5 Days
Hidden/Spoiler:
New "Gunner" heroes
It's always about the Jedi, isn't it? Well, of course, Jedi are a big part of what make Star Wars what it is, but we've got to show a little love to the other guys - even if their weapons of choice are "so uncivilized." Joining an already impressively large cast of new gunner heroes - including the likes of Durge, Lando Calrissian, Bossk, IG-88, and more - come three stalwart new non-Jedi:
Wedge Antilles, Nien Nunb, and the much-maligned Greedo step in to add a bit of variety to assorted hero assaults and capture-the-flags. Check them out in five days!
Countdown: T-Minus 4 Days
Hidden/Spoiler:
Holocron mode
Holocrons - the little storage devices that Jedi have used for millennia to record history - are incredibly useful and informative. It's no small wonder that everyone seems to want to get their hands on one! (It makes more sense than a flag, in any case.) Holocron mode will task you to do just that - help your team find the holocron and then hold on to it for long enough to score.
The possessor of the holocron gets a small personal shield and stat buffs, so watch out! They're not defenseless. Hold the holocron for just over a minute to score!
Countdown: T-Minus 3 Days
Hidden/Spoiler:
KotOR hunt "scenario" mode
Through the course of the Knights of the Old Republic series, there were a number of skirmishes, small and large, that played important supporting roles in the stories of their respective games. To represent a few of these, hunt mode has been retooled for the KotOR era on the following maps:
Death Star: Mos Eisley: Kamino: Tantive IV: Polis Massa:
And as mentoned, each mode represents a certain skirmish in the "Knights" story. Death Star: Jedi assault on the Sith-held Star Forge Mos Eisley: Sith ambush at the Mandalorian camp on Dxun Kamino: Republic forces versus Mandalorians at Malachor V Tantive IV: Jedi Exile and party try to escape G0-T0's yacht Polis Massa: Mining droids go haywire and attack miners on Peragus II
Countdown: T-Minus 2 Days
Hidden/Spoiler:
Hero Capture-the-Flag Mode
We can play a whole slew of modes in Battlefront II... as infantry. But what about the heroes? Star Wars is really their story, after all. Well, we decided to buckle down and give the heroes and villains of that galaxy far, far away a bit more facetime with "Hero" Capture-the-Flag.
Hero Capture-the-Flag comes in a couple different varieties. You can play a "Jedi-only" version of HCTF wherein no one but the guys with the lightsabers show up. There's also a "Gunners-only" version, which features all the heroes - like Boss, the Republic commando, or Durge, the fierce bounty hunter - who use ranged weapons. Finally, there's a KotOR HCTF, which is mixed - both Jedi and non-Jedi show up.
Countdown: T-Minus 1 Day Bookends of Knights of the Old Republic
Knights of the Old Republic is an interesting time period and we at the Conversion Pack have done everything we can to make it feel accessible and just as integrated with the game as the original two eras. "But wait!" you say - "that era doesn't even have its own maps, it just uses the other eras' maps!"
Well, there's where you'd be wrong.
"Bookending" the game Knights of the Old Republic, the skirmish on the Endar Spire and the Battle of the Star Forge were two of the most important battles in that game - the first led you into that world, and the second allowed you to save it (or conquer it). Both, though, let the KotOR era really have a home of its own in the Pack.

New "countdown" added. Some of you may be familiar with some of the info you see today if you've kept up-to-date on the Pack. I promise that you'll get some "real" new info tomorrow, though.
