Wookiepedia blows

Mav did a lot of hard work on a SWBF Pack article on Wookiepedia. They axed it, saying that it did not have enough references. Before they did so I added many references, to total about 7 articles. I also made a petition in Senate Hall at Wookiepedia stating very plainly why the article fit the criteria they asked for. Anyways, they axed it, and that's just retarded. Luckily I saved all the Wiki code from Mav's last edit for future reference.

There's an entry up at SWGames Wiki as well, but it's my original (pre-Tean) edit. Tean, if you want to go ahead and add what you have there, that'd be fine. There shouldn't need to be a whole lot changed to the code.

If it's anything like Wikipedia, it's a semi-democratic system where majority generally rules. Unfortunately, certain members of the community earn fame in some way or another and end up making a lot of the final decisions.

Wow, that is completely unreasonable. After reading this, I browsed through the other articles in the video game mods section of Wookieepedia and only one of the articles had any sources whatsoever. The article for the Conversion Pack is easily of equal quality to the others, if not better.

That's dumb. I feel sorry for you, Mav' and Tean. This project has just not gotten the respect it deserves.

ARGH Why do people always post what I'm thinking before I can post it? Anyway, that sure sucks. Wookiepedia ftl.

You see, they're schemers, and it's MY job to show the schemers just how pathetic they really are...

Anyway, yeah I agree with all the posts in this topic. This is the greatest mod for SWBF2 and it is getting very little respect I feel sorry for you guys :(

I never truly liked wookieepedia, anyways. Sorry, and I hope next time you post an article on this, it isn't deleted (if you do)

This is coming a little late, but I just want to let you know you're not the only ones that get that kind of treatment from wiki and its spawn. It doesn't seem to matter if you know better, or do things the way the site rules say, because like any site there's always some wacko on a power trip. It's sad, but this is typical of how the 'net operates, where half the people being handed power don't even fully understand accountability and responsibility.

Staff edit: Bolded for emphasis.
And removed everything I disagree with. War is Peace. Love Big Brother!

-Mav

Edit: Had to remove some things.

I use Wookiepedia to look up stuff I'm curious about, and it seems like half the articles on the site aren't "adequately" cited. But those Wookiepedia jerks can't hold a candle to you, Teancum and Maveritchell, in terms of accomplishments and high-quality work.

For [Diet Dr. Pepper]´s sake!
One would think that since the pack adds BF1 Maps and a frikkin awesome KotoR Era those Plonkers would percieve it as a legit Article!

The Convo pack is in many ways truer to the Game than Pandemic itself and those fools at wookiepedia dont respect the hassle of writing an article about it?

LET ME AT EM! :runaway: :runaway: :runaway:
