are you going to use kotor music for the kotor era, just saw the trailer but dont know if the music was ingame (cause i didnt heard any other sounds)

The music is copyrighted, not the file. We shouldn't (and can't) use it.

it seems Mav has got permission to use kotor1 music from BioWare audio team, if thats true then i suppose he can use it ingame

Not so, in that instance he was just crediting them.

Since I'm building the KotOR sides, I'll just go ahead and say a clear "no" here. I've made plenty of maps with a KotOR mode before and if I'd felt like it was ok to use KotOR music in them I would have done it already. If it comes down to it and you're still not sure about whether it's illegal/legal/right/wrong, then let's just call it a personal choice on my part and say that I like the ingame music we already have better.
