HI!!!!
I downloaded Conversion pack 1.76, 2.0, and 2.2,
and i have been having some problems.
whenever I load up a GCW map, i cannot play the rebels. I can select them, but when i do all i get is two units that you cannot unlock until you get 20 or more kills. it doesn't make any sense. also whenever i open the map Naboo plains, ( :amidala: ) and i play as the republic, i get some gungan jedi as my hero. ( I read that it was supposed to be Qui Gon Jinn.)
Don't download 1.76. Version 2.0 is a full install. Just like it says in the instructions for the file, you should have these installed in this order:
1) Battlefront II
2) Battlefront II v1.1 patch
3) Conversion Pack 2.0
You can then install the 2.2 patch, and I would recommend doing this before playing the pack.
ok, so i reinstalled the whole game, and both 2.0, and 2.2. however when i open battlefront 2, and go to instant action all the maps have names like, CO1%%3
If you're not sure how to uninstall something, clean out your addon folder. If you've got the issue you have, make sure that - again - just like was already mentioned, you have Battlefront's 1.1 patch installed.
ok, so i tried everything you said. 1) I cleaned out the addon folder entirely. 2) I uninstalled every bit of the patch. 3) I Uninstalled the game. 4) i reinstalled the game. 5) I installed the 1.1 patch. 6) I installed the 2.0 conversion 7) I Installed the 2.2 conversion patch. I did everything I could, but nothing happened. I am pulling my hair out right now! Any further info would be galdly recieved, and appreciated.
The names of the maps are fixed, but the problem with the rebels, and the gungan jedi remain the same. I did make sure that the 1.1 patch was for my region, and that it was installed.
OH, I forgot to post something earlier (sry) Jedi assault doesn't work on many different maps, and i have two of each new map that i got from the conversion.
I hope that helps determine what the problem is.
It sounds like you did not fully uninstall the game when you did your reinstall, or that you have more than one mod installed. This will be a hack-job to fix it - the easiest way would be simply for you to uninstall and reinstall the game again and making sure you correctly clean out your Battlefront II folder - but I'd rather not ask you to spend another hour or so doing all that.
Please confirm for me that the only folders in your addon folder are "AAA-v1.3patch" and "BF1." If that is the case, then go ahead and try to install this mod:
What I'm guessing is that your sides are corrupted from maybe an install of the 1.76 Pack. The "Unofficial 1.2 Patch" I'm directing you to will replace those sides with (essentially) the default sides, and should correct the problem.

and yes the only things in my addon folder are AAA-v1.3patch, and BF1.
I will try it out, Thanks again!
I am very sorry but it didn't work.
do a clean reinstall;
1. Uninstall BFII
2. Delete any files left over after the uninstall
3. If your using vista, delete any of the leftover compatibility files
4. Reinstall
5. Patch to 1.1
6. Install convo pack 2.0
7. Install the 2.2 patch
8. PROFIT!!! sorry Mav, stole that last line.

Before you do any of that, if you are using Vista that may change a lot. Like mentioned in step 3 above, you could easily have compatibility file duplicates sitting around mucking up the installation.

Browse to the GameData folder location (whenever it's installed) and then click "compatibility files" on the taskbar at the top of the window. If there's another addon folder in there (or any folders at all), there's a good chance that's where your duplicate files causing errors are located.
