Basically if I change resolution (This includes shriking the window then making it large again, expanding a window, and bringing up a render preview) my computer locks up. My mouse is still on screen and movable, but it is whatever cursor it was hwen the comp locked up and everything is unusable. Why is this? ANy fix?

What forum was it in?

Anyway, it's probably the program you're trying to use (unless you aren't using a program, in which case, I haven't a clue). I know, I'm so helpful at times...ask Levithan, he's good at finding helpful links ;)

What is your processor, Unaided? If you have an old one, too much going on at one time can freeze your computer. Also, make sure your registry is working fine. I suggest a scanning program such as CCleaner, Google it to download it.

Coder', your current screen might not support properly the resolution you've tried to use, which could explain why you've encountered the problems described above... Also, you might have accidentally chosen a "refreshing frequency" which is not handled by it, while you were modifying your video parameters...
Finally, as Carbine' suggested, you should highly download the latest version of your Grapic Card's drivers...

PS : Would you mind posting the references of your actual screen and Graphical Processing Unit, too ?...
