After my first SWBF1 copy was damaged and since i noticed that my JKA CD2 has a bad read problem too i decided to get Alcohol 120% to create HD images of all of my games so i don´t need any original CD in drive anymore.
the Software seems to work pretty well. I got every software incl. SWBF2 running without having the CD/DVD in drive and it´s easy to use.
So all my Games CDs can rest save in the original covers from now.
I wonder if anyone else use the software too or is there anything else out there wich do the same? And i don´t speak about piracy copies here!
Anyone using Alcohol 120% ?

I use it also to backup my software because I'm netorious of just laying it on my desk and I have a cat that likes to climb. I think it works well. Some protections, like starforce, are harder to copy though. Of course Starforce is under scrutiny by the net community for placing its protection on ring 0 of your HDD, basically opening up a potential security hole because that section contains the starforce drivers and gives them complete control to the OS (root). They said they fixed it, but I'm sure someone can use the protection software itself as a virus by applying it to a virus.
Back on subject, I'm pretty happy with the software and use it frequently to backup my x-rays, MRI cds for medical records and to back-up my game/music CDs. Why spend $40+ on a game just to have it ruin because of one irreparible scratch on CD 2 of 6? Hence why I back it up. I'm repeating myself, arn't I?

I was wondering whether a software able to "clone" SWBF II existed... I think I've found my answer...
Still regarding CD's / DVD's emulators, have you tested others than Alcohol 120% ? (Such as Daemon Tools, Virtual CD / DVD, etc...) If so, what have you thought about them ?
Thanks in advance !...

Only Daemon Tools are free... The others can be tried freely during 30 days, but must be bought if you appreciate the results you get with them...
