When I play a DVD on my computer it runs fine and all but when i turn on my computer the next day the screens pitch black at the login screen. So i have to system restore it to the previous day to get my screen back to normal. Now this did not happen untill i installed my Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 PCI. Anyone now why this happens and how to stop it/fix it? Thanks!!!

nvidia are Diet Dr. Pepper when it comes to drivers etc... make sure you have the latest v 81.95 i think, it may help. good luck, trst me it doesn't get much better even if you had a 6800. definately back to ATI for me next time!

NVidia pwns you! They are always leeding in technology! ATI are just following them. On the other hand, i could agree with gou a little bit about the drivers, but the latest driver fixes most of the problems (don't know what number it is, check http://www.nvidia.com for the latest drivers)

if you start up the computer with a DVD in the drive then it won't finish starting up. I found this out after starting up the computer one day

I have the same problem, but it was when I installed an extra gig RAM... although TBH the system didn't seem to bugger up until I installed battlefront 2... seems a bit coincedental.

well well...it seems as though the DVD isn't as good as ppl say. Maybe the good ol' trustworthy CD-ROM is better...
